Do you think Lace could resist cosmic radiation?
She's not made of cells & prolly doesn't have any DNA.
However, radiation can break computers/machines, too, so constructs aren't safe.
She's not a conventional robot however but probably the closest to a magically animated doll, like pinocchio.
We don't know how radiation would interact with magic. Lace's sturdiness in regards to radiation is comparable to that of fabric/textiles, we might assume that she's relatively safe as long as it doesn't get enough to burn her or heat her up.
IRL Silk is easy to ruin if you machine wash it, but magic soul-infused silk is explicitly stated to be fireproof except for magical fire (such as used by the burning bugs cult)
So Lace might be a flame retardant actually... (come to think of it, she does survive being punted into the Lava)
I'd make an asbestos joke but we know she's not very durable, probably has the texture of stockings/ literal Lace.
I'm pretty sure she couldn't get cancer, so all things considered, she might come in very handy if there's ever a reactor core breach or a need for an asronaut. She's prolly very light, too, so lss fuel needed to launch her into space. Though astronaunts prolly don't exist in the setting. We don't even know if the world is a globe, it just seems to be void -> buch of rock -> the sky. Maybe the black of the sky is also void.
Alas, poor Lace will never know the cool Astronaunt carer she might've had if she was in a different genre.
Regular Higher Beings would probably be resistant to radiation for the same reasons that they don't age (really efficient DNA repair or something), but probably with some upper limit of what they can take even if it's way higher than mortals'.
Hornet might just randomly have mortal-like radiation tolerance tho, the same way she's not cold resistant.
(One wonders if PK & WL ever deadass forgot to put a jacket on her.)

She has intricate patterns on her beyond what a normal craftsperson could do, multiple layers of actual Lace that interact like (like those early computers made of knitting - I think she generally works a lot like those, basically a 'textile robot'), but no insides. (I'd say the Monarch also those intricate patterns, with no clear distinction between 'flesh' & 'outfit', but we see she has stringy bits insider her when she loss her arm)
She was made by first spinning her physical form & then blasting her with the sentience beam (the glow of her eyes is similar to that of the kingsmoulds for example - animated with soul. )
She keeps her shape like a straw hat but could probably squeeze through a small space like an octopus.

She doesn't have any bodily fluids, nor self-healing capabilities. All daily wear & tear needs to be patched. She finds this humiliating.
However the function of the silk she requires to live is not just to repair but to supply her with soul. She needs a lot more than the previous constructs did specifically because she's meant to 'mimic divinity' / be immortal.
An interesting scenario to me is that it might be possible to "start the clock again" so she'd need less soul, so that she could make do with more modest quantities of soul that he could get from killing things (similar to how the vessels do), but at the cost that she would age.
I'd imagine that Hornet would present the idea to her but tell her that the choice is ultimately hers, & maybe Lace would respond like, "Hah, you'd never do that, you'd want to keep me around as a trophy forever!" & then she'd be surprised that there's such a thing as ppl who'd want the best for you without trying to possess you / being willing to let you go when the time is right. (whether that is to the 'next world' or when she's grown up & wants to have her own path/adventures)
