Life Is Shit

“It took me awhile to realize that I am not meant to be in another’s life for more than a few moments in time. I am not meant for long relationships or friendships. I’m not meant to be someone’s forever. I am here when needed and forgotten when not. I had to make a home in a place where beautiful things are short lived and ephemeral. I am still kind and gentle even though I am not meant to be loved in return. I am a disposable soul to make-do with until you’re no longer lonely or in need of desired attention, then I’m once again forgotten. I am only temporary, yet I suppose that’s the one thing that’ll stay.”
