that's why i also wanted this moment here with all of you. i said goodbye this morning to my family, to the club staff and to the players, but now i want to address you. thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for believing from the beginning. those who didn't believe have also been part of this, they have pushed us to the level we are at right now. as you know, everything has a beginning and everything has an end, but the path has been beautiful. i will always carry you in my heart.

The immediate rush to call her a sellout or accuse her of greed is incredibly hollow. She is 32. She is entering the final phase of her career. It isn't a crime to want to breathe different air, or to look at a contract that secures her future and say yes. She has spent 14 years bleeding for the shirt. It’s not a cash grab it is the reality of a short career coming to its natural transition.

People are hurting because it feels sudden, but maybe this clean break is exactly how she needed to protect her own peace. No long, exhausting months of carrying the weight of a goodbye. Instead, she hands the fans four trophies, stands at the highest peak possible, and walks straight out the front door with her head held high. She poured every drop of herself into this club.. She gave us everything on the pitch she doesn't owe anyone a performance of her departure.
