Q: How long have you been working in the events industry?
A: I have been working in events for 14 years. I spent about ten years working in entertainment, corporate and development events before transitioning into private events and weddings in 2009.
Q: What is your educational background?
A: I have a degree in Communication Marketings and Business from California State University, Sacramento.
Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: I love to run (although this is a new love of mine), cook and read. I spend (probably) too much time on Pinterest and I drink more coffee than most humans can concieve possible. Yes, I do consider that a hobbie :-)
A: I have a Golden Retriever named Koli Bear and a cat named Queen Tabby
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: “Roman Holiday” starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck
Q: Do you have a favorite book?
A: The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Q: What is your favorite current wedding trend
A: I have really loved seeing the increasing number of clients who are excited to highlight the location of their wedding in unique ways. One of my favorite examples was a couple who featured a “50-mile table” so all food, drinks and flowers came from within 50 miles of the wedding venue. This can be challenging for some locations, but in Sonoma County, the possibilities are endless!
Q: Do you have a favorite wedding blog or magazine?
A: I love reading wedding blogs (SMP, Wedding Chicks, Green Wedding Shoes, Off Beat Bride) but I love to keep my eye on other sides of design by and trends so I love CECI Style, The Design Blog and Design Milk.
Q: What is your favorite part of a client’s wedding day?
A: As the planner, I have a very exclusive look at the wedding day that most don’t get to see and there is always one moment that I love. Sometimes it happens as I’m getting ready to send the bride down the aisle, sometimes it’s right before the first look and other times it’s at the altar, but I always wait see the couple take a deep breath and become fully present in the moment they’re sharing with the love of their life and all their family and friends.
