21 July 2010 💙💚 They finally meet and talk to each other, in the X-Factor bathrooms. Louis takes the chance and gets Harry's first autograph and talks to him: “Even though I didn’t speak to them much I remembered Harry [...] well, because I saw them and thought, ‘You are definitely getting through.’ I had a photo taken with Harry because I knew he was going to be famous. I even gave him a hug and told him not to worry because I knew he’d be fine.” (Louis, Dare To Dream).

Why do you think Liam brought this up a couple of years later? He really didn’t have any reason to. The Belfast cancellation has always felt off to me, but I could also see it just being exactly what it was. The “he’s ill” felt so off, because it was. He was actually having a mental health crisis and that is what they didn’t want to admit.

One of those mysteries we will,probably never know. Oh to read the 1D tell-all someday……

I think we'd have to dig around to see what was going on around November 21, 2017, when Liam brought that up in an article in The Sun (which is immediately suspect given that they have always been a mouthpiece for Simon). It unfortunately coincides with a few-month period where I left the fandom, so I don't have anything on my blog about it. But he may have brought it up to take heat off of anything to do with babygate that was going on around then.

My gut feeling is that what he said in that interview is complete nonsense. There is absolutely no way the band would have been allowed to cancel a show because Liam wasn't in a good mental space. They played through illness, broken bones, vocal strain... Louis fucking performed on XFactor days after his mom died. I really don't think they'd have allowed a show to be canceled because Liam was upset about a breakup.

I think it’s pretty obvious that booking a show on a Tuesday night in this area of São Paolo wasn’t very smart. From what I’m told, transportation there is difficult, the economy isn’t great to begin with, and my guess is that while Harry’s team expected people from surrounding countries to fly in, they didn’t.

@hoovesandfloorpaws said when they made their sales chart of the tour that it was impossible to get an exact read on how many tickets were sold. But it seems like the first two shows sold out and they’re hoping they’ll push the people from Tuesday’s show to Friday’s show and have three sold out shows.

It sucks for everyone. Especially the people who may have traveled just for tonight. I highly doubt it was Harry’s choice to handle things this way and the LiveNation tweet was very vague making it sound like there was some kind of outbreak. 🙃

from personal experience that is a typical wording you use when the show is cancelled over ticket sales that have not met expectations and you don’t want to make a loss, but you also don’t want to be transparent about that. MANY tour promoters (and especially Live Nation!) do that.

i personally do not think Harry is sick, but we will see on Friday, 24 July 2026, a) how Harry is doing and b) see in videos how full the show is. in my update post about Harry’s tour ticket sales here you can see that all other shows of his tour are very well sold, if not sold out completely, but for the São Paulo shows I couldn’t really make an estimation, other than at least half of the sections (including the outer pit) not being sold out, yet. if H is coughing on Friday, please keep in mind that he has been coughing at ALL of his shows and has been using a spray for his throat during some shows. (i’ve seen it with my own eyes in Amsterdam.)

We've known for a long time that they're just using him. And Harry would never cancel a show because of low ticket sales. I also think this account is legit.

I hate the thought that he’s that worn out. The lyrics of this song are painful without even thinking more deeply, but when you look at them in the context of closeting it hurts even more.
