Organized by session. I’m pretty sure the songs are organized as they appear in the episodes, and, just FYI, I may have missed a song or two from an episode. If I did, comment and I’ll be sure to add it! I also included the movie.

"No one can draw a clear line between sane and insane. You move that line as you see fit for yourself. No one else can. You'll understand soon... that the one that's insane is this world. Do you want to come with me? The only ones left will be you and me."

I finished the Netflix Cowboy Bebop series, and I have some thoughts. I probably need the series to marinate a bit more, but these were the things that I took note of in my head as I watched it:
Some Pros
1. The Bebop crew cast had really great chemistry, and the actors embodied their characters really well.
2. I liked the reference to the movie in the first episode and the allusions found throughout the series. They did good on the stained glass window Spike/Vicious moment.
3. I LOVED that they brought back Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts for the music.
4. I liked that they leaned into the campiness of the series without going too overboard. I could tell they were trying to honor the original series while putting their own stamp on the story.
5. The Pierrot le Fou episode definitely captured the feel of the original episode and was done well. And I liked how they integrated Vicious— it fit.
6. I liked that they added more female characters and cast some male characters with female actors instead.
7. Ein.
Some Cons
1. I didn’t like that Spike’s real(?) name is Fearless. Just no.
2. We see the old men once, but I would have liked to have seen them in as many episodes as possible (unless I missed them). A lot of the fun minor characters were missing…like Cowboy Andy.
3. Some of the music in some scenes felt a little off.
4. The fight choreography wasn’t the best, but it did improve as the series went on.
5. I didn’t like how much they extended Vicious’ and Julia’s characters and stories. I found myself tuning out whenever their scenes came up. Vicious and Julia were whispers from Spike’s past, which is what made them so intriguing and interesting.
5. That ending. Whoever approved that ending…we need to talk.
Neutral
They made Jet an actual father, which fit.
They changed Annie and Gren a bit.
Overall, I don’t think I hated most of it, and I went into watching it with very low expectations and just thinking that it’ll be fun, but there are definitely some glaring changes that left a bad taste in my mouth.
