Walking through the National Garden. I love the sidewalks, but I’ve seen the “sidewalk monster” trip several people. I helped a few Greek ladies off the ground during the day.

First full day of wandering. Took the metro to the edge of the center of the city and walked to the Acropolis.

Walking back to the apartment through a park. The trees in Athens don’t care much about the sidewalks.

First full day in Athens. Turns out my apartment is only a few blocks away from the hospital in which I was born. When sorting through my Mom’s things last summer, I found the appointment card for my birth.

And made it to my place! A view of the street.
