My new show "Keeping Up with the Cnidarians" will be swimming over to a screen near you very soon!

The show will follow me and the rest of my Cnidaria Phamily of hydrozoans, scyphozoans, anthozoans, and cubozoans. Join us to see all the exciting things we get up to. I'd like to introduce you to some of them right now!

Today is International Women's Day and I wanted to shout out my bestie, Thalassobathia pelagica, but I like to call her Thalia.

21 years ago, scientists discovered our beautiful symbiotic relationship, and we've been besties ever since.

I'm so grateful to her for removing all of my pesky parasites, and I'll always provide her with a safe enviornement to live in.

Welcome to my blog 🖤🖤.

My name is Stygiomedusa gigantea but I go by ✨Abyssia✨. I come from the phylum Cnideria. You can find us in almost any aquatic environment, including the midnight zone where I live, which is also known as the bathypelagic zone (3,300-13,100 feet deep).

On this blog, we'll be talking about things like my lifestyle and diet 🍽️.

For starters, my diet is very simple.

In order to keep my physique I only eat small fish and plankton, using my four mouth-arms to engulf my meals 🐟😋.
