BACKGROUND
Iris was born in Reading, Pennslyvania, which is consistantly on the top of the worst cities to live list. Itâs full of death, violence, and drugs, but Iris didnât really mind. As a kid she didnât see any of that, people were just people.Â
Her dad left when she was young, she doesnât really remember him but it was probably her momâs fault. She was in and out of relationships her whole life, packing them up and moving every time they went sour.Â
Thatâs probably why Iris doesnât know how to sit still, settle down, or have a healthy relationship. She just goes with the flow and thatâs what brought her to moving around the country.Â
When she finished high school she got a job as a bartender and started to explore. It was a great job because she could ditch at any point and not have to wait for the final paycheck in the mail.Â
Nothing specific brought Iris to this town, it was just somewhere she was passing through and got a vibe. People were all on edge and she wanted to know more so she grabbed an apartment and a job and absorbed all of information.Â
PERSONALITY.
Iris is a sassy and snarky individual who loves to gossip. She doesnât get attached to people because she likes to keep moving so that would only hold her back. She doesnât do relationships, only FWB or one night stands, preferably in public. The girl is very pushy and blunt and doesnât know how to keep her mouth shut. She tends to make people laugh with her commentary and antics, but she is only a good friend to a very small amount of people and itâs hard to tell if youâre one of them.Â
WANTED CONNECTIONS.
She had been in town for two months and mostly knows people from the bar. If you want to plot Iâm open for whatever!Â

Viktor almost fell back into the passenger side - not surprised by Irisâ actions, more turned on than anything - they shouldâve known to expect this from her by now. They maneuvered the two of them - just slightly, so that they didnât ruin her little show by toppling backwards. âFuck -â Said through a small intake of breath - quiet, even for the parking lot - Viktor kept their eyes trained on her, unable to look away. â - Yeah - youâd make a fucking - great stripper. Christ - come here.â
Irisâs lips couldnât help but form a smirk at his words and there was a rush that came along with it. She loved to feel desired... wanted... and Viktor was feeding every bit of that right now. She would consider getting a job at Sirenâs later, for now she had tunnel vision. Iris climbed into his lap, bringing her lips to his for just a second before letting them make their way down his neck, she wanted to tease him... drive him crazy. She started to grind into his lap, slowly as she felt him growing harder against her.Â
Every time they interacted, the two of them fell back into this like clockwork - bodies magnetic towards one another. Not that Viktor minded - not in the slightest, not with the murders kicking back up; this was the best form of stress relief. Their hands trailed down Irisâ back, sliding into her pockets to cup her ass - pressing her against him. âJust like that,â they murmured, one hand sliding back up to palm at her breast.
Iris always said she prefered to be drunk but didnât consider herself addicted. That term just felt so harsh. This feeling on the other hand, the rush that ran through her as his hands wandered her body... there was no better word. She could live on just this feeling alone. She pushed her body onto him just a little harder, just a slither of clothes between them. She could feel herself growing wetter with each movement. Her lips moved back to his, like a magnet. Parting only to grab his lower lip between her teeth.Â
âI wouldnât go that far.â she grinned at the female. Dilara wasnât really looking for someone to enjoy the night with. She merely wanted to have some fun and let go of all the worries and stress that the last month had poured on her. âI think a dance or two might just be all the fun I need.â Dee laughed along with her, then took a sip of her drink. âIt was fitting as bad as that was.â she admitted and shook her head as she smiled, âYou see, now when you put it that way! I might actually have to try now.â she tilted her head and laughed once more, âIs that whatâs in store for you tonight?â
âSometimes dancing the night away is all the medication we need,â Iris agreed, with a small smile. She would know, most of her nights ended with drinks and dancing. âHey, Iâm just making a point. The one time I didnât plan to leave a party with someone and I ended up stabbed,â she pointed out, with a small laugh. She gave a small shrug when she asked about her night. âI donât have any plans to go home with anyone tonight, my fellow bartender tonight isnât one I go home with so Iâll just play it by ear,â she answered, before taking a quick swig from her water bottle that was certainly not full of water.Â
âYou took the words right out of my mouth.â Dilara agreed before taking another sip of her drink and nodding. âThe night of the engagement party?â Dee asked, although she technically would have already known had she not blocked out that entire night from her thoughts. There had been way too much happening, and she hadnât exactly been in the best mental state while in attendance either. âWell do be safe, like you mentioned before they do have a thing for the hot ones.â she said with a chuckle, âIâm just hoping this all blows over and they figure it out faster then last time. Or the time before that.â
âYeah, the party was kind of fun but not fun enough to get stabbed,â Iris said, with a small shrug. She couldnât help but give her a playful wink when she returned the compliment. She knew she shouldnât be flirting with the bossâs sister, but that was half of the fun. A small laugh escaped her lips when she considered how tragic this pattern was. âThe cops didnât actually solve anything this last time, they didnât even catch or take out that bitch, they just walked in once it was all over.âÂ
âpretty much. weather changes constantly. sort of like when we say there will be storms for example. there will be, but how bad they are? we never know.â and that all depended on how the atmosphere was. if it was just right, then the storms would be bad. and in same cases, even produce a tornado too. âastrology? not really. a cousin of mine is though. he studied astrology in college.â
âYou can study astrology?â Iris asked, with a small laugh but it was a genuine question. âI really want to know what kind of job you do with that. That kind of sounds like a really fun job make I missed my calling,â she said, as she adjusted her hair in the wind. âSorry, Iâm asking you a lot of questions and I donât even know you.âÂ
âsurprisingly, you can.â she replied. she knew only because her cousin had told her that was what he wanted to study in college. âbeing an astrologer does sound cool. for me though, i like being a meterologist more.â she replied. weather was the one thing she knew the most about. and the one thing she loved. âitâs okay. iâm zehra.â
âIâm Iris,â she said, before glancing back up at the sky. âI feel like anyone whoâs title ends in âologistâ sounds super impressive,â Iris added, with a small giggle. She didnât really consider what each one means. They were all just people who did science shit in her brain.Â
âIâm not surprised.â Dee grinned, remembering the bartender from a while back. For some reason that felt like an entire lifetime ago with everything that went on in their small town. âI completely forgot about the curfew to be honest.â She chuckled at her last question and shook her head, âNo. Nothing of the sorts. It just felt like time, you know?â she shrugged, entirely aware that the girl before girl didnât know what she was talking about. âWho knows when Iâll show up on the shore so I might as well enjoy the time Iâve got left.â Dilara joked.
Iris didnât know all that much about the gingers life, but normally when someone says itâs time that means they are trying to move on from some sort of ex. âWell, if you didnât come here with someone Iâm sure youâre very capable of leaving here with someone,â she said, with a playful tone. If anything she would get the confidence boost she appeared to be looking for. Iris wasnât expecting her joke, so she couldnât help the laugh that poured from her lips. âThatâs a little dark, donât you think?â she asked, between giggles. âYou have a point, though. Killers around here seem to have a thing for the hot ones, so you have a brand new reason not to leave here alone tonight.âÂ

One of Irisâs favorite activities was going on adventures when she was drinking. She would get drunk at a bar and then ditch whoever she was drinking with and just kind of roam around and grab drinks where she could find them until she wandered again. Something of a drunk alley cat, she managed to end up drinking beer at the bowling alley and entertaining herself with guy working there. âI will chug one more bottle and then Iâll go and weird movie hunt with you. Do you have a VCR because how are we going to watch the treasures of our hunt?â
"Of course I have a VCR." Scoffs almost, like its an obvious thing and everyone still owns one. He doesn't have to mention that he doesn't know how its still functioning, and he has to smack the top of it to get it working again every once in a while. But he does have one. "Listen, the VCR is underappreciated. I miss being able to record as much TV as you wanted for absolutely free and have it as a physical thing."Â

âI donât even have a DVD player, let alone a VCR. I basically have streaming and thatâs it,â Iris said, with a shrug. She didnât spend much time watching tv, she found it pretty boring and she didnât like to stay home when she didnât need to. âBut you had to rewind it before watching it which was annoying, but I guess itâs kind of cool to have something in your hands. Everything is so virtual now.â
âsort of. thereâs a lot of people who are meteorologists.â she pointed out. zehra was just one of the many people who were in that field. âit depends on how the atmosphere is really.â she replied. âpatterns in weather change constantly. its because of that, that predicting even the temperature can be tricky sometimes.:â
âSo thatâs why the weather guy will say itâs going to be sunny tomorrow and then you go outside the next day and itâs a fucking lie,â Iris said, with a small laugh. âAre you into all of that astrology stuff, I know itâs not related or anything but itâs stil the sky and stuff, I didnât know if being all smart about the sky would make you believe that stuff more or just laugh at it.âÂ

Dilara approached the bar, having had found a seat opened for the taking. âLet me get an Amaretto Sour and a water, please.â she asked the bartender, flashing them a smile. She decided to take her friendâs advice and just put things behind her and live her life. There was no reason why she should be keeping herself at home as if she had done anything wrong, so Dee decided she had enough and took herself out. Her hair laid perfectly waved down her back and she dressed in a small black dress with red bottom heelâs to adorn. With news of new murders she perhaps shouldnât have come alone, but not wanting to give herself yet another reason to stay home she put it out of her mind coming to the conclusion that sheâd text someone to meet her here. âItâs pretty lively for a tuesday night.â she spoke outloud as she glanced towards the dance floor.
Iris had met this woman before, she was actually sitting in the same exact seat. This time she had a little something extra, something that makes her just a pinch hotter than she remembered. âI think this is like a protest to the cerfew laws. I mean that didnât seem to do shit when this happened before so I canât blame them,â she responded, with a small shrug. âIs that why you decided to come out tonight, or do you have a hot date?â

"You don't look that young. So if at this age, you don't know what a sauna is, you can use the internet instead of bothering people with stupid questions." She was more of a bother than anything, rolling his eyes with every word. "I didn't ask. If that's all, have a nice day."
âYou donât look that young. So if at this age, you donât know what a sauna is, you can use the internet instead of bothering people with stupid questions.â She was more of a bother than anything, rolling his eyes with every word. âI didnât ask. If thatâs all, have a nice day.â
Iris had managed to keep herself from laughing up to this point but he was just so grumpy she couldnât help herself. âIs your posture really straight because you work out or is it the stick up your ass?â she asked, with as genuine of a tone as she could muster. âI suppose thatâs all, it was so nice to meet you Bruce, we should do this again sometime,â she responded, before walking to the door. This was just the motivation she needed to get back into the gym.Â
âYou know - itâs kinda, like, scary -â Her voice dropped into a yell-whisper against the clubâs music, inflection on the whinier side - telltale sign that Myria was absolutely blasted, â- Like - I donât wanna get stabbed, that sounds like - so unfun that itâs literally sickening. I donât want you to get stabbed again either! That was also like - so unfun. The unfunnest,â She blinked against the lights before her gaze found Iris again, hands soft against her hips - a sudden dazed smile on her face, âI could sew you up if you did, though - Iâm like, really good with my hands.â
âIt was actualy super not fun,â Iris agreed, even though she was drunk enough to hardly remember what it felt like. That was one thing she really liked about drinking, it numbed the bad and enhanced the good. âAre you really good with your hands?â she asked, with a playful tone. âHow really good?â
âNo - right!?â Once - Myria had cut her finger chopping tomatoes - and she still could cringe at the feeling. Being stabbed? A whole other ballpark that Myria could not bat for. Even drunk - the thoughts floated through her mind, pinching her brain; the thing about being a mortician-slash-taxidermist, is that morbidity becomes natural. âLike! Super really good!â Her fingers hook against Irisâ waistband, bringing her closer - smile half-dazed, a laugh escaping. âIâd show you but - like, the roomâs getting super dizzy, right now. Are we on a boat?â
âI donât think we are on a boat, but a party boat sounds like so much fun right now,â Iris said, with a giggle. She has partied on a boat before. Actually, she has partied in just about any way she could think of. âAre you fun dizzy or do you want to go outside and get some air?âÂ

Glancing over his shoulder when he heard Irisâ voice, Forrest couldnât help but roll his eyes playfully. If he was attempting to do more of the heavy duty jobs just to help her out, no one else had to know. âHardly strong. Iâve barely started and I think Iâm already about to have an aneurysm.â After finishing changing the keg, Forrest turned to Iris with a megawatt smile - it was custom that everytime a coworker entered, he greeted them with nothing short of one of his biggest bear hugs. Though he was a bit more gentle with Iris, for obvious reasons, âYouâre also late, so I was saving your ass. What would you do without me?â
âOh itâs hugging time,â Iris said, as she didnât quite hug him back but didnât pull away either. She wasnât much of a hugger, which is weird because she typically enjoys every other form of physical contact. âMy hero,â she said, with a playful tone, as she went back to unwrapping all of the bottles. âI would certainly be pretty bored without you here, setting up alone is not all that fun,â she added, before turning back to him. âI mean what would you have done if I bled out? You would have no one to sass you while youâre trying to work.âÂ
Forrest had been trying to remember that Iris wasnât much of a hugger - he never wanted to make her uncomfortable. He was just naturally affectionate, and while she was as well, she always seemed taken aback by his hugs. âYes, hugs, because I love you.â Forrest declared, simple as that, giving her shoulders a squeeze as they both returned to their job. Somewhat. Iris was about as fun and entertaining as they came, and Forrest always found himself distracted from their actual work with gossip or just general Iris fanfare. âStop, I hate when you make jokes like that,â he mumbled, reaching out to tug at a lock of her hair, gently enough that it wouldnât cause any actual pain. Truthfully, his heart did clench every time she joked about her wound. Forrest tried saving face so that he wasnât considered lame about the whole thing, but heâd be genuinely devastated if Iris werenât there, even if their time working together hadnât been long so far. âLetâs promise to never leave each other.â A promise neither of them could guarantee, but Forrest ignored that.
Iris cringed more at his saying he loves her than the hug, but there was still something nice about it. She knew it was platonic and sweet, which brought her comfort. âYou too,â she returned, before running her fingers through her hair. She got all of the bottles unwrapped as she listened to him. She knew he hated her jokes about being stabbed, but what was she supposed to do? She canât pretend it didnât happen and she isnât going to cry about it so this is how she deals. She almost dropped the last bottle when she mentioned that promise. There was a reason Iris moved so often, she didnât like the idea of forming any real relationships where they would actually miss her when she vanished again. This place was never intended to be home but she didnât really know how to tell him that. Normally she would be blunt without caring how the other reacted, but with Forrest it was like kicking a puppy. âPromise,â she said, before pressing a quick kiss on his cheek. That was her version of a hug.

Kyle lets out a sigh because there are other things he could be doing right now, like reading through that pile of paperwork he'd been putting off. It was obvious she was just wasting his time. "No," he responds blankly, because if she didn't know what a sauna was, or was simply playing dumb, then that wasn't really his problem. "If you don't know what it is, it's not for you."

Viktor watched her work her magic, finishing what was left of their drink with a smirk, âMaybe you should get stabbed more often.â They joked, letting her pull them off the bar stool before taking lead, hand tightly clasping hers as they pushed through the small crowd of people and out the doors. âGotta - move the fucking skeleton out of the way. Been parading it as -â Viktor didnât finish the sentence, only opening the passenger side of their hearse and shoving the plastic skeleton into the back. âUnless you wanna fucking - give me a show here and now.â Another joke, though Viktor still glanced over at Iris, half-curious.
âIâve been able to get my way far before I got stabbed,â Iris pointed out, with a small laugh. Itâs just the easiest excuse right now because no one feels comfortable saying no. Letting him lead her, she followed him to his car unable to surpress a small laugh at the skeleton. âA show right here in front of my job, how inappropriate,â she giggled, before releasing his hand and pressing him up against the car. She adjusted herself so that she was facing away from him, her body pressed against his. Letting her body slowly sway down his, enjoying the way it felt to trace her ass between his thighs.Â

"so i was thinking. after i lock up here, you. me. thrift store." usually the next thing out of his mouth after i was thinking is less mundane. or at the very least nonsensical. "i was there the other day and someone left like, a shit ton of old vhs tapes. i didn't have time to go through all of them but i wanna see if there's anything weird in there. or someones home videos." and there it is. âI donât see anyone else lining up,â Viktor glanced around, spreading his arms in a silent see? âSee - if I was bringing you home after a shift at Sirens - then Iâd say Iâm fucking spoiled. Knowing youâve got a whole new fucking - audience of men waiting, but choosing me? Kinda fucking⌠into it.â They watched her for a moment before leaning across the bar - pulling the glass away from her lips only to press a hungry kiss to them, âWhenâs your shift over? Should fucking - go now. Nightâs young.â
If Iris was being honest it was kind of a hot idea. It also felt like a next step that made sense to her. The thought was interrupted by his lips pressing against hers, something that for some reason always did it for her. âIâm supposed to be here another hour but... I suppose I could play the got stabbed card,â she giggled, before walking over to her coworker. It took her all of five minutes to collect her tips and practically pull Viktor from his stool. âIâm down for whatever, letâs go.â

to say she kept herself busy in the morning was an understatement. with work and all. eyes focused on her laptop, she switched from looking at her notebook to her laptop, typing in her notes she had. hearing a voice, she raised an eyebrow as she looked up. ânothing interesting, i promise you that.â she replied. âif anything, its all weather related.â something that she knew not many people were interested in too.
âDoes that mean youâre the brains behind the weather people?â Iris asked, never really considering that there were other people who fed them their information. âHow does the sky tell you what the weather is going to be?â
âsort of. thereâs a lot of people who are meteorologists.â she pointed out. zehra was just one of the many people who were in that field. âit depends on how the atmosphere is really.â she replied. âpatterns in weather change constantly. its because of that, that predicting even the temperature can be tricky sometimes.:â
âSo thatâs why the weather guy will say itâs going to be sunny tomorrow and then you go outside the next day and itâs a fucking lie,â Iris said, with a small laugh. âAre you into all of that astrology stuff, I know itâs not related or anything but itâs stil the sky and stuff, I didnât know if being all smart about the sky would make you believe that stuff more or just laugh at it.âÂ
