This is the most adorable thing Iâve seen in a while!
WITCHES NEED A SECRET SYMBOL FOR SAFE PLACES
So a lot of us are out of the broom closet so to speak, but many of have to be careful of being public because of the views of the communities we live in. What I propose is a symbol we can put on flyers or in shop windows that means âYouâre safe here.â
I donât believe that a pentagram would work because itâs got so much stigma attached and itâs really easily identifiable. Ideally, we can find something that is not tradition specific. I donât know. I just want us to be able to put feelers out into the community without painting a target on ourselves for intolerant jerk faces, and I want witchlings that are seeking guidance to be able to do so in a safe environment. I mean, how badass would it be to find a little symbol of solidarity in your favorite coffee shop or bookstore??
Reblog with suggestions!
A witchesâ foot. It has been used historically like this.Â
In one of the grimoires Iâve read through, it references this being a secret sign to mark on sacred spaces for the group.Â
Love it, passing it around. Will be wearing it and hanging it at my house and teashop once I own one.

The sabbats are holidays celebrated throughout the year on solstices, equinoxes, and the midpoints between them. These sabbats form the Wheel of the year.
There is a controversy surrounding the dates of these holidays, as people celebrate them all over the earth, not only in the northen hemisphere but in the southern too.Â
One viewpoint is that the Sabbats should be celebrated as they were originally created to be⌠in other words, Samhain is October 31st, regardless of where you live. In the Southern Hemisphere, even though you are just gearing up to summer on October 31st, this perspective says that you celebrate the cleansing and releasing, the honouring of the dead just as you would if you lived in the Northern Hemisphere. The other viewpoint (the one I personally agree with) is that you should celebrate when you feel like the season corresponds with the holiday, in other words, your craft, your rules. So if you live in the southern hemisphere, you have the choice.
Iâll be writing the dates for each holiday starting with the northen hemisphere and then the dates that many people celebrate them in the southern hemisphere

Bed magic (for my spoonie witches):
The setup: đ-Sigils placed under your mattress for pain-free rest and anything else you need! đ-Place crystals under your pillow (or in the case) for restful sleep or a specific use. I often place amethyst and Quartz under my pillow for headaches! đ-Hang herb sachets above your bed. đ-Keep any supplies you want nearby in case you become bedridden.
Bedridden witchy things: đ¸-Play with spare bits of energy in the room. đ¸-Listen to music that makes you feel witchy/powerful. đ¸-Wash your face with a pre-prepared cleansing spray (add herbs and such). đ¸-If possible, open a window for at least five minutes and soak in the sensations of the outside world. đ¸-Read a witchy book/write in your grimoire. đ¸-Hold your crystals or keep them near you. đ¸-Washing your sheets/blankets/pillow case = the ultimate cleanse. đ¸-Meditate and work on breathing. đ¸-Spend some time with your tarot cards or pendulum (you donât have to use them though!). đ¸-Do some dream magick. đ¸-Drink some herbal tea.
Remember, your witchiness isnât based on your ability to practice all the time. Itâs perfectly acceptable to take as long as you need when you arenât feeling great.

Anyway, daily reminder from a culturally isolated Romani person.
Gypsy does not mean wanderer.
It literally means âpeople from egyptâ or similar, as europeans believed Romani people were from Egypt. It has become known similar to nomad due to how our ancestors have been forced to be nomadic due to racism and ostracization, but it is a SLUR.
Romani people are STILL being forcibly sterilized.
Romani people are STILL being forced into ghettos.
Romani people are still facing violence and danger in countless European countries- and recently, Iâve seen the beginnings of the extremes in the United States.
Have a little fucking respect and DONâT USE A SLUR THATâS BEEN USED FOR CENTURIES AGAINST US.
And for the love of whateverâs up there, ESPECIALLY do not use it to describe your witchcraft. It is playing on the âmagic gypsyâ trope, and is EXTREMELY insulting.
non romani people, please reblog this.

I think the only reason why some people lose motivation with their craft is cause they treat it like a performance than a way of navigating life. Like if you a witch you know itâs always there you donât need to light a candle everyday. Itâs like if you know how to cook you donât have to make a gourmet dish a day.
Witchesâ Honey Bread
Ingredients:
1½ cups buttermilk
1 cup honey
Âź cup molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1½ cups whole wheat flour
1 cup white flour
Âź cup raisins
Steps:
Combine the buttermilk, honey, molasses, baking soda, and salt.
Mix the 2 flours together in a separate bowl and add to the buttermilk mixture.
Stir in the raisins and pour the batter into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Bake the bread for one hour in a 350°F oven.
Turn the loaf out, inverted, on a wire rack to cool.

Psychology Daily - Quotes
Non-wiccan, low-energy ways to connect to nature, and feel stronger in your craft.
+ Take a walk in a forest. Find somewhere to sit, close your eyes and feel the life thrumming through all the living things around you. You are not the only living thing in the forest. Find the biggest tree you can and politely sit on one of its roots.Â
+ Walk on the beach. Barefoot, preferably. Feel the sand between your toes and the water rushing over your feet. Breathe in the scents of salt and sea and wood. Close your eyes and feel the power of the sea, the gentleness of the sun.
+ Hike up a mountain. Sit on a solid piece of stone and reflect on its age and all the people it has seen, and all the people it will see after you are gone. Do not feel insignificant. Even though you are one of many, if any stone in the center of the mountain fell, the whole structure would be less stable.
+ Go to the seaside at night. Look up at the moon and feel its power over the tides and sea, feel it tame the wild waters that no human can control. Try to capture that powerful feeling inside you.
+ Sit on a riverside. Listen to the water rushing by. Think of all the places it has been and will be, how it has been along long before you, and will exist long after. Dip your feet in the water and feel the current rush around your toes. Imagine your negative thoughts and energy drifting away with the gurgling water.
+ Relax by a pond or lake. Look at the sun and sky and clouds reflected in its surface and imagine it a well of magickal energy. Draw from it, and bask in the sceneâs serenity.
+ Stand by your houseplants, channel your magick and funnel it along the connection between you and your plants. Feel their life force and feed it. You are a witch, and even if you feel different sometimes, nothing can change that if you donât want it to.
