for some reason i got it into my head that i had to write out bios for the drdfs before i rewrite the script but every time i tried to write a bio for them i'd just get frustrated. but i kept doing it. Dude you know these characters well enough to not have to write shit down about them 😭 they've existed for like years now

deciding the ages for the drdf cast is really funny because some have very specific reasoning – yuuki being 16 is meant to show that she has so much room to grow postcanon and to sort of explain why she's so maladjusted, asu being 18 is meant to show off that her personality is a result of being coddled over just youth – and then others (read: megumi and eren both being 18) is because i had too many nsfw jokes on their pinterest boards and needed to explicitly make that Okay To Be There

hiroko hagakure being so important to souto is so funny because nooooone of the other udg captives are important to anyone else. like hiroshi probably likes yuuta but she also doesn't really gaf all that much. yuuki feels absolutely nothing towards her grandpa (possibly because. well he might be dead. if udg is canon and i think it more or less is because the outside world was still full of despair even though the killing games were a simulation). the one exception is that i think grand bois cheri is still miraculously alive and is just old as fuck because that's really funny. but otherwise souto is just the biggest grandma's boy LOL
