To be clear, I’m very happy for people to play it who are finding it through this blog, but I wanted to avoid people discovering it solely through itch.io without context for why it cuts off partway through the chapter. Tired of your horny prayers going unanswered by distant, uncaring gods?
There might be somewhere else you could turn to…
Damnation & Buggery is an adult fantasy game focussed on the themes of buggery and, optionally, damnation, depending on how you feel about the whole thing. Taking place in a D&Desque fantasy setting (think gods and demons cloistered in planes surrounding the one where mortals live, a lawful-chaotic/good-evil alignment chart, and warlocks, clerics, bards and rogues, that sort of thing), you might also partake in subject matters such as transformation, exploration of self, rebellion, redemption, found family, and maybe even romance (if you’re into that).
**NOTE: this is For Reals a game About sex. You can be as promiscuous (or not) as you choose, but if you avoid all of the content related to the ROs it’s probably going to feel a bit empty. If this doesn’t sound like something that you’re into, that’s cool! You’re probably better off not reading it, then. Go forth and have fun elsewhere, no hard feelings <3 **
The Story
You are a regular human peasant, which is as close to an inbuilt death sentence as you can get in a world filled with monsters, bandits, cultists and angry nobles. Luckily for you, however, “regular” is relative, and evil cultists aren’t necessarily renowned for their brainpower.
A freak accident that occurs during an attempt to summon a powerful demon using you as a vessel results in you being transformed into a concubus, a demon embodying lust and beauty. Everything changes in an instant; the conditions in the mortal world are suddenly suffocating and unbearable, the gods and all their servants suddenly want you dead, and you have no choice but to rely on other demons for help, if you think they can even be trusted.
Embrace your new existence or try to find a way to return to your old life, try to find out what caused it all to happen or just accept it as an accident, befriend the demons who inhabit your current circle of Hell or work to destroy them… the choice is yours. There’s just one catch – as a concubus, you need to experience sexual pleasure every day, or you’ll die.
You can take care of that on your own, of course, but the numbers in Hell are dwindling, and your new demon colleagues are more than willing to lend a hand, shall we say, to keep from losing you as well, if that should happen to tickle your fancy instead.

Warnings
Starting with the obvious ones first, if you’re made uncomfortable by sex or mentions of it then it’s probably safer and healthier for you to simply not engage with the game. This isn’t a value judgement, please just put your own health first! Nothing will ever happen that isn’t consensual, but obviously people’s comfort levels with the subject of sex still vary.
Similarly, if the idea of playing a demon, being transformed into a demon, or playing a character with animalistic aspects such as wings, horns or hooves would make you uncomfortable, then the same probably applies. There are choices available that don’t have any particularly stigmatised features (tail, scaly skin, hooves, horns, etc.), but it will likely still be a matter of personal preference as to whether you feel comfortable with the overall notion.
Other less general ones:
a situation akin to being kidnapped (not by any of the major characters)
aspects of body horror
potential body dysmorphia
might edge close enough to the territory of religious persecution to cause discomfort for some people
You can choose to spend time with multiple ROs if you like or stick to just one if any of them in particular capture your heart. Be warned, however… they all have preferences for the type of person (or demon, technically) that they would want as a romantic partner, and certain choices and playstyles may make you incompatible with each of them if you happen to be seeking a dedicated romantic relationship. (If you’re not, then feel free to ignore the warning!)

Suchebh the Libertine (genderlocked nonbinary)
An ancient and powerful demon also known by the epithet The Dark Ecstasy, Suchebh the Libertine is as close a thing to an Archdemon of Lust as can reasonably be said to exist.
Their hatred of Law is endless, their use of the royal We to describe themself is unironic, and their form is ever-changing, having a male body during the day and a female body during the night.
Arianis (selectable female/male/nonbinary)
A human warlock, one of the few directly in Suchebh’s service, Arianis acts as Suchebh’s eyes and ears in the mortal world. It’s a bit awkward therefore that they have very little information on you.
A bard and dancer by trade if not necessarily by calling, Arianis has a taste for the finer things that life has to offer… but they know darkness, too, darkness that only humans can manifest.
Lithiana (genderlocked female)
As one of the last remaining of your fellow concubi, Lithiana has been tasked with helping you acclimate to your new circumstances. She’s certainly a lot friendlier than some of the other denizens of Hell.
Unlike you, her form is distinctly watery in its aspect, and she has gills and demure fins, along with shimmering grey skin. You dare not ask why her teeth are sharp, though…
Malkorath the Blade (selectable female/male/nonbinary)
Between their great height, their batlike wings and clawed hands, and their digitigrade legs reminiscent of a lion, it can’t be argued that Malkorath has a monstrous visage. They can be a bit of a jerk, too, if you’re being honest.
They were forged specifically for war, and deep down they’re afraid that they’re not good for anything else… that they don’t deserve anything else. You may or may not feel otherwise.
Heluur (genderlocked male)
You would have expected a demon from before the formation of the physical world to be less… affable. Less willing to share all of the secrets he sees in his magical chaos mirrors, too.
The colossal snake tail is a bit intimidating, though. Also the giant wings. And did you mention the giant snake tail? You did. It’s really fucking long, you guys.
Twilit (selectable female/male/nonbinary)
The gods call them the Archdemon of Envy. Their followers call them Chrysalis-Builder, That Which Bends, or The Grey Ghost. They simply call themself Twilit.
Like Heluur, Twilit has existed since before there was even time to measure, and if their timeless, ageless demeanour doesn’t put you off, then their moth wings or wide unblinking eyes still might.

As announced at the beginning of the month, you can now play the entirety of Blood of the Living's ninth chapter, which as it so happens is the penultimate one.
Basically, some stuff happens, and then you can have some feelings about it. Or, if that stuff doesn't happen for you, you can have feelings about other stuff that's already happened. Or both. Feel what you feel, deity of Spring. Who knows? Maybe some of the characters will give you even more things to feel some kind of way about.

This is a month-long game jam that will run from January 10 - February 20th, 2026. The goal of this jam is to create more interactive fiction games about queer vampires, focusing both on queer relationships and queer experiences, and exploring them through various vampiric narratives.

Your project must focus on queer characters and vampires. Relationships, romantic or platonic, as well as queer experiences, whether gay, lesbian, bisexual, ace, aro, trans and nonbinary - this is an inclusive jam.
You can write from a human or vampire perspective (or both!) The vampire is a versatile tool, and you are not restricted to any one specific depiction of it.
This jam will accept any program/medium, so long as the work is an Interactive Fiction.
Interactive Fiction is hard to define, so in this instance as long as the game is recognizably interactive fiction - the game has a narrative focus primarily with text, and the player can interact (whether that be with direct choices, clicking through links, or allowing the player to choose how to move around and interact with the world/the game, like in bitsy) then it counts. Parsers, visual novels, choose-your-own-adventures are some of the popular examples of IF, but there are plenty that don't fall within any category, and we're not interested in trying to police a rigid definition. I suggest checking out past entries and browsing the IF tag for examples!
This jam will accept adult content as well as games covering heavy & uncomfortable topics, but please be sure to properly list trigger warnings either in-game or on the game page.
Entries that promote any kind of bigotry will not be accepted.
Games should not include any AI generated content. This includes both art and writing.
There is no language requirement; we will accept games in any language.
You can submit as many entries as you'd like.
You are allowed to start working on your project early! This is unranked and it's not a contest, this is just for fun.

So, here we are; I have an assignment due in *checks clock* less than six hours, but recent events compel me to come on here and say a little something. I'm sure many of you are finding out today about the deindexing of adult content on itch.io (link to my friend @kithj's post about it here) and people are understandably upset. It is an objectively upsetting thing to happen, especially in a community like ours.
But I'm here to tell you that it's not the end. I fall rather outside the "normal" operations of IF authors on tumblr - my demo was never public (can only be accessed from my intro post) and in fact has a password on it, and then I went through a bunch of terrible stuff and haven't updated in ages lmfao. I'm hardly a "success" story even though I keep doing my best. But guess what? I have a lot of followers on here, certainly way more than I probably deserve. People find content that they want to see, even if there are extra steps involved in uncovering it.
So if you're an IF author out there panicking about nobody being able to find your games anymore, I promise you that they still can, especially if you value this little community we're a part of and do your best to be transparent to readers about what you make and how it's affected by these outside censorship concerns. You can do it, I promise. Your work can still find a wonderful and appreciative audience.
And if you're a reader, I hope that you don't lose hope either. Your favourite authors are most likely still going to create the same kind of content as they always have - moves like this literally Never actually make people stop writing what they want to write, because profit is not actually a big disincentiviser for indie games because there often isn't much profit at all - as long as they don't get discouraged. I hope you can continue to find the kinds of games you want to see, even if it's a little more annoying due to outside interference.
It's not the end as long as we're still breathing, folks. Keep on trucking.
HEY important, but there's a site called Citron Games which have been taking games off itch.io and uploading it to their site and claiming they're the publisher/copyright holder of them!
I've seen a lot of vns on there from devs I know/follow, but I've also seen some IFs on there as well.
I'd recommend checking the site to make sure your game isn't on there and if it is, issuing a DMCA takedown!
