This Halloween, tinareads and I went as Ginger and Brigitte Fitzgerald, from the brilliant teen-girl-werewolf flick Ginger Snaps. We also decided to have a go at recreating some of the fake-suicide photo montage from the opening credits.

What we were able to do was limited by supplies, equipment, and venues–we took most of the photos in and around Tina’s apartment, and, given what we were doing, we tried to be really careful not to take any outdoor photos where we’d be easily visible from the street or by the many young kids who live in her complex. Most of the props and clothes are things we had around; and all the photos were taken with either my phone or her iPad.

CONTENT WARNING: The photos behind the cut are–for the most part–fake suicides, some fairly gory or otherwise graphic.
