It had been a couple of hours since Damian had went into the guest room, Damianâs room. Franklin worried that he should have followed after his ex-boyfriend, but he wasnât sure, so he didnât. He finished his meal and went straight to his room. He changed into one of his paint covered shirts, and laid down in his bed. He wanted to sleep, but he wasnât sure he could. He had been tossing and turning for a few hours with no luck.
A few more hours passed by, and Franklin gave up. He couldnât sleep, not with Damian being so close yet so far away. All he could think about was going in there, and cuddling with his ex-boyfriend, so he got up and walked down the hall. He didnât even bother to knock on the door, he just walked in. Like he used to at the academy. Damian looked asleep, and even though Franklin didnât want to bother him, he crawled into the bed with the other man.
Damian didnât know how he felt about living with his ex-boyfriend. He loved him, still. It was odd; he didnât think he was supposed to still love someone heâd been apart from for so long. It was supposed to fix it, time. Time healed all wounds, didnât it? But Franklin wasnât a wound -- He was more like a scar. Or a tattoo.Â
When he heard the door open, he pretended to be asleep, trying to figure out what it was his new roommate wanted. To check on him, to tell him to stop thinking so loud. Instead, he crawled into bed with him and for the first time since Damian had moved in, he felt at home. â... Are you alright?â He whispered after a moment, blinking his eyes open.Â
