Jerome/Reader/Jonathan-Love Trinagle Prompt
“Gentleman, listen up!”
Everyone turned to the sound of Galavan’s voice. He stood at the doorway of the room. Next to him was a boy unfamiliar to you. He was fidgeting nervously, and his eyes would never stay in one place for too long.
Galavan nodded towards the boy. “This is Jonathan Crane. He will be joining us from now on. He is going to be a very…unique addition to our team.”
You saw Barbara lean forward with excitement. “What does he do?”
Galavan grinned. “I don’t want to give anything away. You’ll all see for yourself tonight.” He looked to Jerome. “Jerome, since you’re the boss, why don’t you show Jonathan around.”
Jerome stood up with a grin. “It would be my pleasure.”
He threw his arm around Jonathan’s shoulder, causing him to flinch.
“Right this way, Johnnyboy.”
Jerome led him out of the room. You watched them leave. You leaned towards Barabra. “He’s kinda cute.”
She giggled. “My boy Jimmy was working this guy’s case when he got arrested. He said that his father did some weird experiments on him. Now he always really sees this scarecrow.”
Barbara held her finger out like claws. “A scary scarecrow with beady red eyes.”
You leaned away. “That sounds awful.”
“He’s supposedly always terrified…” she paused. “But he is a little cute. ”
You bumped into Jerome in the hallways only an hour later.
“Hey, gorgeous. Whatcha up to?”
“I was thinking about going swimming” you told him. “Did you know Galavan has been hiding a pool downstairs?”
“I didn’t. You mind if I join you?” He winked at you.
“Maybe next time” you told him.
You continued walking down the hall. You stopped when you were in front of Jonathan’s new room. He was looking out the window. You took a step inside.
“How you liking the place so far?” you asked him.
You gestured your hand around the room. “Do you like it here?”
“Oh, y-yeah. It’s nice.”
You saw his eyes flicker behind you. They widened. You looked behind you. No one was there.
Turning back you asked, “You still see it don’t you?”
He looked at you surprised. “H-How do you know about…you know…”
He looked down, ashamed. “It won’t affect the work I do.” You walked towards him as he continued. “I-I mean I’ll still be able to help you. He’s just in my head, that doesn’t mean I won’t be able to-”
He stopped talking as you brought both your hands on either side of his face.
“Your skin’s really smooth” you commented.
“I, uh, I…” He couldn’t find the words to respond.
It pleased you to know you had that kind of effect over him. Whenever you flirted with Jerome, he was always so confident. Like your words didn’t even faze him.
“Is it here right now?”
He looked behind you. He nodded.
You leaned up and touched your lips against his. His whole body stiffened. You stayed that way for a moment. Eventually, he relaxed to your touch.
You smiled as you pulled away. You looked into his eyes. He was staring at you, astonished.
“Do you see it now?” you asked.
Speechless, he shook his head.
“Good” you smiled. You rubbed your finger across his cheek before running your hands down his arms. You took a step back. “I’ll see you around, Jonathan.”
He took a quick step forward. “W-Where are you going?”
“The pool. It’s downstairs” you grinned. “Why don’t you come join me?”
He gulped. You smirked before walking out. Jonathan quickly began to follow you. But as soon as he stepped outside his room, he was roughly pushed against the wall.
He let out a yell. Jerome stood in front of him. He was grinning madly.
“Fun fact about this place. It’s very high up. One shove would send you…right off. Trust me, there’s no chance of survival. We’ve had plenty of experiments.”
“Shh!” Jerome’s grin dropped quickly. “(Y/N) is mine, understand?”
Jonathan panicked. “I’m sorry! I -I didn’t know-”
A harsh, stinging slap to the back of his head shut him up quickly.
Jerome let out a laugh. “Well, now you do, don’t you?”
Jonathan nodded quickly. Jerome cackled. “Just stay away from (Y/N) and you won’t be having anymore problems.”
