Clark Kent's parents realised early that he was not human so scared and a little worried they took him to the doctors who then contacted the government so Clark grew up as a biological weapon and he was taught that's he's both hope, god and destruction all in one and a government sponsored hero who kills. He's like a whole franchise. He's whole brand is sunshine but due to his different upbringings by his loving parents that are scared of him and his "handlers who see him as a weapon he's actually dark and twisted.
