This story was different actually??? And even better??? The girl, Brooklyn Andracke, used to wave at the truck every thursday and the trashman waved her back. It was a very important to her to do it every week. It was HER birthday, and she decided that she wanted to share her birthday cake with the trashman. She also wanted to meet her hero, whose name is Delvar Dopson.

The girl’s mother thanked Delvar for his work and explained to him how important it is for Brooklyn to wave at him every thursday. He was pretty surprised but he admitted that every time he drove near the house he hoped that the girl would wave at him. That’s not the end of the story though. Next week Delvar had a surprise for the little girl.

He brought her a bunch of amazing birthday gifts!

They both got quite popular, and Delvar is getting a lot of thank you messages from trashmen from all over the world for representing them in such a good way.

Remember 3 years ago when Andrew hussie raised 2.5 million bucks for a video game that has yet to be released or even really announced

The fandom should be aware that the individuals Hussie contracted the game out to took the entire budget from him, promising to make a fantastic game to Hussie’s specs, but used the money to make a few OTHER games, and only created a walk cycle in the year Hussie had planned to have the game completed. When Hussie realized what happened he yanked the rights to the game, turned Whatpumpkin into a game development studio, and he and his creative team have been desperately trying to learn to make games themselves with no budget left to do it, trying to sustain themselves on shop and convention product sales.

In other words Hussie got so mad that his fans got ripped off that he decided to do everything himself and has been putting the comic on hold frequently so he can do the thing and make the game more awesome than originally planned, but he doesn’t know what he’s doing so everything is taking way longer than intended.

In the meantime, while he and his team are learning new skills, they’re using those developing skills to release new games like Undertale in an attempt to learn new things and show their skills, and hopefully help fund the Homestuck game.

And the studio that took the Kickstarter money and ran is The Odd Gentlemen. There’s no direct publicly-available proof that they used that money to work on King’s Quest, but the implications are pretty darn strong.

#i really really hate how everybody’s been bitching about the comic being on pause for so long as though hussie is being rude or something?#have you ever read an interview about his average day??#he literally wakes up and eats and reads a few emails and DRAWS THE ENTIRE DAY#he used to put this webcomic up EVERY DAY BY HIMSELF for 6-7 years#and now i see people complaining that he’s outsourcing some of the panels to guest artists and not updating every day?#screw you#he’s not a big TV network or a publishing company#he’s one dude#he put this big beautiful webcomic up online FOR FREE for anyone to read#he’s allowed to be a little erratic with his scheduling Just gonna put these tags on the post.
