I have a random question, but in your opinion what would Pidge wear to the Yule ball? Im super curious lol

Year Five:

“Stupid Loverboy. Stupid ball. Stupid Dance. Everything is so stupid!”

Katie paced through the garden; the air frigid cold. She was too heated to notice someone walk up behind her.

“Are you okay?” Katie turned around to face a dark-haired Gryffindor. He was leaning up against a pillar with his arms crossed.

Katie had seen him around here and there. He’d sometimes hang out with Hunk and Lance. She heard rumors that he was pretty hot-headed and has gotten to a few fights in his time being here.

“Well, I mean…” Katie stuttered over her words, the cold finally getting to her.

He walked over to her, “Here.” He draped his jacket over her shoulders and Katie was grateful for the warmth. They stood in silence for a few minutes, until he broke the silence, “The names Keith. Do you want to talk about whatever is bothering you?”

Katie looked up at him and she was surprised to see genuine concern on his face, “Uh, yeah.” They walked over to the stairs right inside the castle away from prying eyes, “I have this friend that, well, is, I guess-“

“That you think of as more than a friend?”

Katie looked at the stranger. She felt the tears rolling down her face. Keith reached up and wiped the tears from her cheek.

“I-“

“What are you doing?”

Katie and Keith stand up quickly, “Lance…”

Lance stepped towards Katie, “I was looking all over for you. I-“ Keith stepped in front of him, “Hey!”

“You shouldn’t come any closer.”

“That’s my best friend, Mullet-Head.”

“Yeah, well you hurt her, Lover Boy.”

“Stop!”

Both boys stopped in their tracks. They turned to Katie, who was visibly crying, “Just leave me alone!”

Fourth Year:

“Without you I feel like I’m in Azkaban and dementors are sucking away my soul,” Lance winked at Allura, a Ravenclaw in their year.

Katie sat with Lance and Allura during Divinations. Katie tapped her foot, trying to Professor Trelawny reading a poor Hufflepuff’s fortune.

“Your smile is like Expelliarmus. Simple but disar-“

“Shhhh! Can you stop with the pick-up lines?”

Lance finally looks at Katie, who was glaring. She was fed up. All she wanted was to pass this class that was hard enough for her. She didn’t know how to “read” these stupid tea leaves, which was making her head spin and she couldn’t concentrate on his cup. Lance’s face fell and it made Katie’s heart hurt. She didn’t mean to go that far.

“You there boy, let me see your cup,” Professor Trelawny held her hand open and Lance placed the cup in her hand. She studied it before speaking again, “Who’s cup is this originally?” Lance gestures at Katie. Trelawny stepped to her, “My dear, there is a skull, which indicates danger in your path. You also have a cross which indicates that you will go through trials and suffering, but do not fret, my dear, for you also have a sun which means that there is great happiness in your future.”

Katie sat stunned in her seat. She was irritated at the vague nature of the prophecy, but it piqued her interest. She hated that she was genuinely curious about this topic.

“Hey, at least its not all doom and gloom,” Katie looked up at Lance, “You got to look at the Brightside of life!” He gave her a heartwarming smile that was infectious.

Katie couldn’t help but smile, relaxing into her chair, “Well that was sappy, Loverboy.”

He smirked at her, “Well what can I say? I like your cute smile.”

Third Year:

“Katie, look!”

Lance pulled the Slytherin over to a box with a handle. Lance gestured for her to try it and Katie stepped up. She began to crank the handle as the box played a little tune, which began to pick up speed. Katie continued, wanting to hear more of the tune. She happily cranked the handle one more time as the lid sprang open, releasing a plethora of creatures made out of light. Katie screamed as she ran out of the store.

Lance came out of the store with their Hufflepuff friend, Hunk. Lance doubled over from laughing so hard, “You should’ve seen your face, it was priceless!”

Hunk walked over to Katie and enveloped her into a warm hug, “Lance, that was not cool.”

“Oh come on it was a harmless pra-“ Lance couldn’t finish his sentence since his face was suddenly full of snow. Katie snickered from behind Hunk. Lance began to pick up some snow, “Oh, it’s on, Katie-Cat.”

Second Year:

“Don’t you have something better to do?”

Katie had been trying to study for her potions exam she had in eight hours and she had an over excitable Gryffindor distracting her from her work.

“I’m just saying that I’d be totally down to ride a hippogriff if given the chance,” Lance skimmed some book about mythical creatures. He practically jumped out of his seat, “They say nifflers are amazing at finding gold! Do you think we’d be able to have one as a pet? I know that we can have cats, but I’m allergic to them. My mom had a cat before, but I’d just continuously sneeze and my eyes would be itchy and, wait. Where are you going?”

Katie had a stack full of potion books and parchment as she made her way to the door, “I’m going back to my dungeon to finish and then sleep. I haven’t slept in twenty-four hours and the bags under my eyes are not getting any lighter,” as she opened the door to the library she turned back to the Gryffindor, “and nifflers don’t make good pets. They tend to steal your stuff as well, so the chances of them giving you any gold are slim to none.”

First Year:

“Slytherin!” The Slytherin table burst out into applause as the Sorting Hat was pulled off Katie’s head. She wobbled down the stairs over to her brother, who sported the same robe as her.

He pulled her into a bear hug, “See, I told you that you’d be where you belonged.”

She glared at her brother, “You told me that I’d be in Hufflepuff.”

“Yeah, but you would’ve found your way,” he ruffled her hair, “eventually.”

“Gryffindor!”

Slytherin: Then why are you talking to me?

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “You can’t see a real life dragon, they don’t exist.”

I know dragons aren’t real, but I have a legit reason for having this life goal.

I know that with having this life goal is that my life will go one of two ways.

A) I know that dragons aren’t real, but I go through life feeling like I don’t have to worry about achieving my life goal and inevitably being sad that I never achieved it.

Or

B) I prove the existence of dragons and become famous and be deemed the real life mother of dragons, but the thing that I will value the most is the fact that dragons are real.

We meet to talk about which dragons are the best bois (imo it’s toothless but I digress), share our favorite dragon stories, and have some rad (NOT radioactive) cookies.

So if you’ve got some interesting stories about dragons or art of dragons leave them in my ask box!

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “You can’t see a real life dragon, they don’t exist.”
