I wanna be able to eat all the spicy food that I want

And not have to worry about my asshole burning for 5 hours

I wanna be able to remind all the people that pick their nose while they drive

That they are not invisible

I wanna be able to meet all the hot chicks that are on Match.com that claim that they “love nerds”

Just so I can tell them that they’re full of shit

In fact, I also wanna be able to meet all the guys that dress like “cool nerds”

That wear the bow tie and frames with no glasses

And see if they’ve ever seen the original Star Trek series

And if they haven’t, make them feel like a bunch of fucking wannabes

I wanna be able to bring back the tradition of Saturday morning cartoons

Where even at the age of 16 and admitting to your friends

That you watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, eating a bowl full of Fruit Loops,

Wearing your Transformers pajamas is kind of embarrassing and lame

But in your mind, it’s the coolest way to start your day

I wanna be able to educate kids in what real music is

Not this top 40 shit

Remind them of history of when people used to play instruments

Starting everyday with the soul of Marvin Gaye

Taking it back with Otis Redding and into Stevie Wonder days

Remembering how the blues used to make you feel all groovy and cool

The King was rightly named for every string that he’d use

Then jazz and funk brought out the Miles Davis’s too

And outta 70s Brooklyn came hip/hop

So how much schooling you want fool?

Cause

I wanna be able to tell my future children that it’s not impossible for one person to make a difference in the world

I wanna be able to better myself

I wanna be able to share the message of one love

I wanna be able to recognized for who I am and not for who I was

I wanna be able to apologize to all the people that I’ve hurt in the past

I wanna be able to find that one girl I’m supposed to marry and have true love that’ll last

This is only a short list of things that I wanna be able to do

And I can go on and on and on

But giving you my list won’t do anything for you

You need to make your own and find your own passion for life

Forget about things that don’t matter and start seeing with your own two eyes

Cause these are some dark times when children getting killed left and right

I mean, how much longer must we live in a world where people of different race and sex always collide?

Cause now I get nervous every time I see the police passing by

Rolling up to the school

I’m thinking homicide or suicide

Yet we’re more into sharing stories of how some celebrity that just died

Instead of educating our children we decide to put guns in their hands

“But it’s our right as an American” is what they say and demand

All our tax money goes into weapons anyways

So I wonder, who’s really in command?

Isn’t it sad?

But it really doesn’t take much to understand what it means to be a positive member of society

I promise you

That if you set your own goals and dream your own dreams

And realize that you are all worthy of beautiful things

Learn to take a step back

And breathe in the possibilities

Remember that you, you, and you

Can do anything

So start by writing your own list no matter how short it might be in your case

Set your goals and never allow yourself to finish in less than first place

Dream your own dreams and turn this reality into something you want to last

I read this article that upset me this morning so just wanted to respond with my own opinions. The internet, right? Lol.

1. You act as if you’re my best friend

Being raised in America, I think it's safe to say that more than 75% of my peers have worked in some type of service industry. Whether it's restaurant, bars, or even car washing, let's be honest with ourselves. It's not an easy job. The fact that you can act as if you're my best friend and still put a smile on, even after taking it in the rear from some douche that treated you like an animal and left you nothing on the table, is admirable to me.

In fact, I'll leave you a smaller tip if you're being "unprofessional" or completely forget about my table but regardless, I'll always leave you a tip because I know more than likely you're just busy.

Bottom line: I want to know your name. I want to hear your honest opinion about that douche that made you feel bad. Because I like to make people feel better. I'm sure Ghandi would agree.

2. You don't get paid enough

Let's be honest. Times are f*cking tough. I think I read somewhere that the average age for a worker in McDonald's is now 28. I'm 30 and for many, many, many, many years, I worked in the service industry on TOP of schools and jobs to just help me survive in this real world.

3. You'll spit in my food if I don't tip you

Straight up. I'm guilty of doing this myself, but that was back when I was in high school and serving coffee at Starbucks. Sure it's immature and all, but knowing that I've done it myself, doesn't mean you won't. Lol.

4. Bringing me my food IS WORTHY of being paid extra

Did you cook it? Did you invent it? No. But you sure as hell made some great recommendations. Made sure that my family and friends were doing all right. Possibly entertained us all with some silly joke after listening to some racist Korean comments (that's me). You remembered our order even though it was crazy busy and the 4 year old brat on the other table threw a hissy fit and spilled food/water all over the floor and you dodged it just in time and actually apologized for the brat. I don't feel sorry for you my friends. I admire you for working hard. It ain't easy being breezy.
