The sound of rain hitting the pavement wasn't loud enough to drown out the overwhelming thoughts flowing through kira's head. She felt like she'd been walking forever, rain soaking her to the bone, she hoped her phone was alright in her bag, she couldn't afford another now. She huffed as she made it to the top of the hill, desperately wanting to take a break but she could see her destination from up here and the distance was nothing compared to how far she'd already walked. Her eyes fluttered shut for moment and she took a deep breath, trying to prepare herself for what's to come but having no idea what she was to expect. She let out a sigh and readjusted the strap of her duffle bag, and kept walking, hoping she'd be welcome when she got there.

The gravel in the driveway crunched under her feet, the sky was dark now, her path only illuminated by the flicking glow of the street lamps. Kira shifted uncomfortably as she stood at the bottom of the steps, looking up she questioned, not for the first time, if this was a good idea. She started up the steps as quietly as she could and raised her hand to knock but hesitated, thinking of all the ways this could go wrong, if she was turned away she had nowhere else to go, she couldn't go back, not after what happened. She shook her head to try and wash away her thoughts and quickly knocked before she could change her mind. The few moments she waited were anxiety filled, she had just started to wonder if she should leave or knock again when the door jerked open, revealing a shocked face.

This is old because I haven't written in months but whatever. I know this is more than seven sentences but it'd be weird without the whole thing so. Also I haven't had time to edit it yet so sorry.
