how jin doesn’t give a fuck about appearances and is here just to have a good time. he said once that he thinks pride is the most unnecessary thing in life and he truly embodies that. he tries hairstyles he thinks look unflattering on him to build his confidence, he dresses up in ridiculous, nonsense fashion just because, he approaches random strangers and chats them up even without mastery of the native language, he says “aloha” and “do you know bts” to literally every person who passes by, he sees a cute dog and marches right up to the owner to ask for permission to pet it, he yells a lot and cracks dumb jokes and cackles unabashedly, he makes up a dozen nicknames for himself and announces them on national television while he stares and points straight into the camera, he lets the younger members tease him and joke around, he proudly tells everyone about that time he got 4/100 on a science test repeatedly and bursts out laughing when jimin asked how he got accepted into university, he trips and falls sometimes trying to act cool but he only ever flaps around and then bends over to laugh at himself. he’s truly living his best life being the silliest, goofiest dorkiest version of himself and not caring about what other people think as long as he’s happy and having fun. but. BUT!! when people give him their undivided attention or when he receives sincere compliments his ears get so red and he avoids eye contact and it’s just so cute and endearing because yeah he’s extremely comfortable in his own skin and he doesn’t care about pride or shame or whatever but he has a truly humble and authentic soul and it’s so wonderful and so so attractive.
