The photo on the left is Danny/Daniel Darnell, when the plot starts he is the most left one. A very friendly and little naive researcher (lvl 1) at the SCP Foundation. Currently he is the assistant of Dr. Daffodil.

Dr. Daffodil is the photo on the right, he also works for the SCP Foundation as a researcher (lvl 4) and is an anomaly. Unfortunately being an anomaly comes with a tight lease, but if you beat a dog enough times it’ll learn to lay down!

(Not saying that’s good to do, just metaphor)

The Dross / (Slugs)

Their name is derived from metals symbolizing worthlessness or wasteful. The species did not have a name before colonization.

Dross: the scum or unwanted material that forms on the surface of molten metal.

An offensive term to call the Dross is “Slugs”

The Dross belong to the supermassive planet Deferrum. The planet’s terrain is incredibly harsh, mostly covered in desserts or savannas, making farming difficult and safety a luxury in the wild.

The Dross have adapted to such conditions in various ways:

* Thicker scale-like skin

* More pigmentation for better camouflage in sandy environments

* Water is stored in a sack (organ), allowing for survival during long periods without rain

* Feet padding to protect from hot ground

* Long and thin tail with a fin for sensing vibrations, also works as an extra arm

Every species on Deferrum has adapted to survive for much longer on what little the planet has to offer in food. Yet The Dross are the most successful at this, being able to go [time unit] without food before feeling the effects of starvation.

Moving away from how they are physically, the Dross are a social species. Surviving in small groups of around 4-7 in the wild, groups of Dross will trade with each other and very rarely join together if both groups are small. Fighting between groups is rare due to only having negative effects.

Any Dross found alone will likely be killed on sight if found by a group. This is due to the desperate in which Lone Dross display, stealing from groups and even killing other Dross. They are too much of a risk for a group to leave alive.

Different groups of Dross are identified by symbols cut into their right. A tradition that is still present within Dross communities outside of the wild.

Clothing wise, the Dross keep every bit of fur from any animals they find. Wild Dross with no contact to the markets will wear clothing made entirely of pelts, while wild Dross that have had some contact may wear a mix of furs and fabrics (same with dross that live in or near markets).
