I'm really proud of this short I helped Gary Yost produce about our local firemen. It's a 'behind the scenes' look at the day to day effort that goes into being ready for any emergency that may come their way. Working on this gave me a greater appreciation for the service they provide.

A Meditation on Impermanence. The synergy of creative collaboration can result in magic beyond our imagining. Witnessing Genna Panzarella paint this 8x10' mural of Mt. Tamalpais as it was when it was whole, literally inside of what used to be the mountaintop, is akin to stealing a peek through the kimono of mystery... the misty mystery of impermanence. The Mill Valley Film Festival announced their line-up today and… we’re on it! Since this is our home town (and also where Mt. Tamalpais “resides”) the MVFF is a very important festival for our film to be represented at. Our film will screen as its own event as part of the “Active Cinema” program on Saturday October 4th, 3:30pm at the Smith Rafael Film Center in San Rafael. Turned the camera on for the drive from Sandpoint to Spokane - about 85 miles or so...then crunched the shit out of it. :)

A teaser for 'Saving Beetle Joose' 

featuring Lilie Bytheway-Hoy and the SF-based indie band Yassou Benedict -- shot at 8 locations in San Francisco and Marin County during January 2014.  Gary's first commercial project with the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera -- lenses used were the Speedboosted Sigma 18-35/1.8 and Tokina 11-16/2.8. All scenes shot in CinemaDNG/Raw and graded in Davinci Resolve. Edited in FCPX 10.1.1.

Over the years I've entered a lot of Fark.com Photoshop contests. This parody of the Facebook 'look back' video highlights that achievement. 

The film explores the history of the West Peak and how local citizens have been working to restore their mountain to a natural state.

Some of the 3d models I developed for Lucas Learning's Star Wars Math accompanied by the design sketches I was given.
