I’m not gonna delve too far into it but quite a few months ago when Avid came out about the fact that he had been harassed, many people jumped the conclusion that it was Scott who was the perpetrator of this harassment. I personally never believed it, but was honestly, so conflicted as both a Scott an Avid fan, and also in part felt a bit guilty because the of negative reactions towards Scott the community was having that I decided to unofficially , without even ever making a statement stop posting on this blog, which is a fan blog for Scott‘s works.

Eventually, after a couple weeks, I decided to distance myself from most Minecraft content. It just didn’t sit right with me that Scott would do something so intentionally harmful but as a fan of avid it just felt wrong to not support him so I just stopped watching a lot of the content that brought me joy because honestly, it was only bringing up complicated emotions because of the whole situation. I would usually be really against posting anything this personal because I don’t even really know if it’s necessary to be talking about how any of these situations have affected me, but I think it is important to some degree to show the impact that contact creators actions have on their community and other content creators and how the communities reactions have impact on other community members and again other contact creators.

I don’t know if or when I’m gonna start posting on this blog again because right now I’m still processing how I’m feeling and still carry some amount of guilt .
