the offense shared between the zanpakuto spirit and shinigami is palpable. ichigo removes said weapon from its holster and points the large blade at this foul-mouthed, brash girl. it takes all of his effort to not spit something just as vile and rude at her. he was above petty arguments.  ❛ oi. watch your mouth. old man zangetsu is a very powerful spirit. it don’t matter who the hell i am, and the question could be sent back at you: just who the hell ARE YOU anyway!? ❜

this could have gone well. this could have been easily handled if he’d just not been a complete jerk and pointed a dangerous weapon at her. 

but no, that wasn’t how things had gone, and this was not going to go well. 

what  did  water  (  bending?  )  have  to  do  with  anything?

❛  i  don’t  want  you  touching  it  if  you  don’t  know  what  you’re  doing.  ❜  the  retort  was  loud,  stubborn,  and  stern.  

❝ i  never  said  i didn’t know what i was doing. ❞  temper flares as another is pressed against it, two spitfire personalities and mule-headed stubbornness set out on display. 

❝It’s alright, Korra. Just breathe.❞ Jinora said calmly, gently placing her hand on Korra’s arm to comfort her. ❝I’ll figure something out, but, for now, you just need to breathe.❞

❝ i  appreciate  that  you’ve got a calm head on your shoulders, but staying calm isn’t going to get us out of this mess. ❞    

the avatar knelt down, pressing her back against the dampness of the cavern wall. in her mouth she tasted blood, in her mind she tasted the bitterness of defeat.  how many times did she have to let others down before she would finally get the upper-hand?

jaded  eyes  twinkled,  GLEAMING  like  gems  as  the  boy  gazed  and  the  groaning  metal,  crinkling  as  if  it  were  a  scrap  of  paper.  excitement  BUBBLED  in  his  chest,  a  smile  akin  to  a  delighted  puppy  dog.

“ ‘ non - benders ? ’ ”  well  thats  a  peculiar  phrase.  “ what’s  a  ‘ non - bender ? ’  do  you  mean  ‘ humans ’ ?  are  you  human ? ”

in  his  excitement,  nu  had  not  considered  the  GRAVITY  of  his  word  choice,  yet  he  paid  no  mind.  curiosity  had  grasped  the  reigns,  and  it  show  no  sign  of  letting  go.  

“ are  you  not  from  here  as  well ? ”

An  odd  question.  But not one that Korra hasn’t pondered herself on many an occasion. Did her union with  Raava  make her a  human, or a  spirit?  Maybe something in between? After-all, it was Raava’s longevity that even made it possible for her to be reborn time after time.   

❝ Non-benders are people who are born without any  powers  from the spirit world.  Like what I was doing just now. ❞     It was best to explain it simply. Going into detail about the first Avatar and the Lion-Turtles even made her confused at times.   ❝ As for the human thing? It  ...depends on who you ask. ❞

He reminded her of the children she’d met in  Ba  Sing  Se.  Curious and ever-hungry about the world outside of their wall and truth being withheld from them.  ;  That must have been it! It would make perfect sense following  that  question!   

❝ I could have taken him on my own if you all would’ve just given me a chance! I don’t need anyone else getting hurt because they think that I’m not ready to do my job! I’m the Avatar! ❞   A silent tension so thick that it began to fill the room. A cerulean gaze narrows dangerously, her hands balled into trembling fists.   ❝ Why won’t anyone let me act like it? ❞

“ that  was  amazing !  how  many  others  could  do  that  -  could  you  please  do  it  again ?  one  last  time,  please ! ”

Spectacular indeed! Metal creaks and groans as it shifts in shape, molecules of stagnant earth skittering around within its nearly-liquid mold. The shine is like black fire in the light, molded into thick shapes of sharp and dangerous iron.    

❝ What are you? A dark spirit, a human? ❞   Her tone could have been more DIPLOMATIC. Brash, impulsive, head-strong and spat from between her teeth as if coated in saccharine poison.   ❝ Well, whatever you are, you’re kind of pissing off the local spirit life. For starters, it’d be a big help if you wouldn’t bring weapons like that here. ❞  

❝ I’m trying to go into the Avatar State but I    I just can’t! Jinora... Tenzen would kill me if he found out I let you fight. But you have no problem getting into the Spirit World! Isn’t there something you can do to help speed things up? If I can’t get back into contact with Raava then I can’t go into the Avatar State at all.  ❞ 

    ❝ Nah, it’s fine. ❞ Seiya told her with a shrug and turned around to take off his shirt, twisting it with his hand to get rid of the extra water. At least now he was less likely to get a cold.  ❝ You could make me fly back to Greece like that and I’d hate it. ❞
