Been some time since posting, logging in actually. A lot of new entries, great to see the activity that has continued. Indeed, life does proceed when Im not online, further exemplifies the singularity of ones own quips, passages, observations and photos. Their contribution to the bigger picture, the grand scheme, if you will takes on traction and the through use of algorithms and 0 and 1′s reach our screens. Do we seek approval, adoration or validation for our entries or is it just to feel like part of a greater “happening”? Does it vary by post or is it a combination of the two. Whatever the motivation, seeing other sides of the world is pretty cool, for lack of more of a profound adjective. I have since taken up photography again and enrolled in school. I am studying the subject which, for whatever reason, as a a kid took up all my free time yet as a graduating senior(in 2002) chose not to pursue. Puzzling how impressionable our teenage minds are to get a degree(A.A.S.) that promised the potential for a $30,000 salary!! Imagine, being 20 yrs old(upon graduation) and making $30,000 a year? By today’s standards(and even by 2002 standards) is a drop in the bucket to what real life really costs. I took a semester off in ‘03 to save up some cash and that quickly turned into 14 years. I’ve been getting my ass kicked in the workforce for over a decade and finally decided to get back school, but this time channeling(recapturing) my childlike wonderment of the world around us and pursuing a degree in Biology. Having children of my own now, I see their innocence in their observation of the world around them, They don’t see the environmentally crippling impact that infrastructure has brought upon our world of the past 10+ years. They see past it all and only see the beauty around and beyond. I used to see that and quite frankly lost sight of it all in my ever present struggle to keep myself financially above water(practice in futility thus far). My head is clear, my mind is made up and I’m doing what I can to understand and pass along the knowledge of this world around us. Photos to come....anyone care to see? #biology #backtoschool #adultingsucks #makechanges #nature #photography #wildlife #birdwatching #floraandfauna
