Saw brush week going around and decided I wanted to participate 2 days before it ended. Challenge was to take an oc and redesign it every day using different visual prompts/themes for a week!

I took my unnamed "spooky gorl" oc, slightly redesigned it and made him a man and then used it for this challenge (I didn't want to use any of 'the babs' because none of them have many design features to play around with).

I sketched everything on Dec 25, then started most of the inks the next day. Then completed them semi-chronologically from there. Originally the 'base' drawing was supposed to be the cosmic brush pose, but I figured I needed to show his base colours/design and the design didn't give cosmic at all. <- so the cosmic brush design was sketched and completed just about after everything else had been completed.

The lagoon one is def my fav, with the cosmic one a close second. The lagoon brush itself gave more beach vibes and I already made him a sort of druid for the garden prompt so I didn't make him some fish monster even though that's what I think when I hear 'lagoon.' Lovely's probably the third but I'm bothered by how twiggy it's legs are in that one. I expected the wretched one to turn out as one of my favs but I find it pretty boring tbh.

What I have so far of an in-progress animation. Was really motivated to get the 'simple' part of it done (everything pre-bridge of the song) this winter break, but then everything kinda crashed down on me when I realised how much work it would actually be. Was in my delusional era before. Just gotta keep chugging onn,, progress is progress. I want to learn krita's tweening for this and that made me crash out because imma have to... Learn it. dat shit takes tiiiime

Backgrounds I made for an animation that may get finished someday. The goal was to finish it this winter break --HA! little did I know that my winter break would be fully preoccupied with having the worst flu ever twice!

Pixel art bg are so fun and cute and take sm less time than my normal art gosh. They were all made in the same file so I don't have individual times which I kind of regret but oh well

Continuing my tradition of lowkey shittily doing artfight. In my defense, it's because the site pisses me off continuously and constantly. Half of these attacks were never submitted because the site kept on. Not Working.

Also I don't know who all of these belong to due to deleting the bookmark of the character before I submitted the attack.... super good at what i do. I swear next time I'll do better. And actually have oc's of my own on the site. It'd be nice to receive an attack 🥲

Really like a lot of these, was fun drawing em.

Strawberry Moon

Attended a cute little paint night hosted by the local library. We were supposed to recreate a painting inspired by the strawberry moon -- as in the signifier of the start of indigenous strawberry harvest season. I lost the pic I had of the og painting 💔. Was hosted on the day that there was an actual strawberry moon (pink!), I didn't end up seeing it myself, though. I don't remember what I did instead, prolly just slept.

The og painting was more symmetrical, but the idea of this warped perspective popped into my head and I ran with it. Was super surprised that I finished it in the 2.5hours I locked tf in.

Laser cut 3mm MDF

Finished the head piece connector, and leg connector on apr 29, 2025. Finished the wings very speedily on Apr 30, 2025.

It's not finished! There are no ribs, so I might try to get that done over co-op, but I won't be able to fully laser cut and assemble the new version until school starts up again.

ok wait thank god I recorded some of the dates I finished things because i never finished this post back in may and then my phone got wiped </3 goddamtti. actually is the reason why I gave up on this blog for uh. literally 6 months!??!?! whoops

anyways. back at it again. I lasercut 2 crow skeletons before I went off for coop. I only superglued one together when I was there. good thing! cause it broke and I threw it out. the weak points are pretty obvious, something i'll have to fix if I ever return to this.

DIY Easel

January - April 2025

Autodesk Inventor, Laser + Hardware on 3mm MDF Board, Ibispaint X

Saw a giftable easel/box thing on a secret santa site last year and decided I wanted to DIY it. Made the panels in Inventor and then laser cut it out of 3mm MDF board that we had laying around. The hinge (inventor) and latches (found off thingiverse) were 3D printed.

Drew this to laser engrave on the front of the easel. It's pretty hard to see head-on. I kind of wish I increased the laser strength so it'd be more prominent, but as more paint gets on the easel the design should stand outmore so im js biding my time

TBH the easel isn't fully functional. I've used it a bit, but I've always used smth to prop it up for extra stability. It can stay open on its own but it's finnicky

Started it in March during one of my thermo lecs, then finished it during my burst of drawing energy on apr 24. Also redid the lineart because I made her egregiously thick in the first pass 😭

Quick little drawing. I gotta use this lining style more cos it's so fast,, so nice to not worry abt line weight.
