Last night a few of our students learned the basics of pneumatics at a training session in Indy! Thank you Allied Automation and Indiana FIRST for giving us this amazing opportunity!

A few weeks ago some of our students did a demonstration at Indy PopCon! We demoed all day on Saturday the 18th, and taught many kids and adults about FRC and the mission of FIRST. We also let them drive our robot and shoot boulders. Freddie Wong, a YouTuber, also stopped by to check out the robot! On Sunday, a few students and mentors came back to the convention center to lead panels. Our mentors, Nick and Liz, helped lead a panel about turning your hobby into a career, and one of our students, Gus, led a panel about being a robotics student and what it entails. It was a great weekend for CyberTooth! 🤖

CyberTooth had a great time at the Indianapolis Bicentennial Celebration this weekend! We were driving the robot around and shooting boulders at passerby for the entirety of Saturday in front of the Indiana State Museum. We were there to promote the message of FIRST to those celebrating the bicentennial. Both kids and adults alike were interested in the building process of the robot, and how much work was put into creating our robot. It was great for some of our students to teach the importance of STEM to others. One of the people we ran into Saturday was Boomer the Panther from the Indianapolis Pacers! He drove our robot and got even more people interested in what we were doing. Overall, we had a great weekend, and a successful robot demonstration.

Right now we are planning on attending CAGE Match, RAGE, Purdue, and possibly the 26 Hour Event in West Virginia! We also applied for IRI, and are waiting to receive word on that!

CyberTooth has been doing great at competition! We won both imagery and the industrial safety award this past event. We also met Don Bossi!

We got the robot bagged at 11:18 on Tuesday!

Week 4 has been a busy week for CyberTooth! We got our practice bot moving and finalized many of our designs. Over the course of the week we finished many auxiliary components of the robot, such as an intake and shooter. The whole team is gearing up for competition as the build season comes to a close.

Today we continued building our practice bot. We've got student in groups working on different aspects of the robot. We're all super excited to get this robot built!

Today we continued in our mechanism subgroups. Some of the subgroups began to prototype different mechanisms for the robot. Also, we have narrowed down our choices for the drive base.

Today we decided what our top priorities will be for the upcoming season. Each subgroup presented their ideas on which tasks we should prioritize. After much argument and deliberation, we cranked out a list of what tasks are the most important. Now, we are moving on to mechanism design. We split into subgroups yet again to individually design different aspects of our robot. We also Skyped with our buddy team, Celt-X!

Tonight was an optional meeting due to the snow cancellation. The members that braved the weather continued to strategize and make plans for our robot. Everyone is really excited to get to work on this years bot!! 🤖

Tonight we kicked off strategy for #FirstStronghold !!!! We split into subgroups to decide the primary functions we want our robot to carry out. We sorted through every team idea and decided the most essential functions. We're super excited to start off Build Season strong!
