just a lil update in general if anyone was wondering:
tl:dr: watched TADC, watched and read project hail mary, thinking about making YT videos, still working on that game, and have plans on going back to college!

i did watch the final episode of TADC unspoiled but generally knowing that "a lot of people were complaining about it," i don't get the hate if this is true, my strat for spoiler dodging is just being chronically offline. my only (nonspoiler) takeaway is that the pacing during the first quarter or so felt kind of clunky, but things definitely smoothed over once the establishing part of the plot was over. overall really satisfied with the way it ended. not going into spoilers because i... forgot how to do spoilers besides "under the cut" and i have other things to say.
i ALSO read and watched project hail mary, started with the movie, read the book in a day, and finished the last 20 minutes of the movie after. super fun story, amaze amaze amaze. ππ
i've been thinking about getting into youtube again. i've had an idea for a pngtube rig, but i'm so picky about the way i want it to work that i basically have to learn programming. so i might wind up publishing a little open-source app. it could probably be its own post but like, viseme support, individual layers, built-in hand tracking, all that kind of stuff. i have drafts drawn out but It's the Programming that's Hard. I want to make game breakdowns, media reviews in general, and storytimes, i think. maybe other things that catch my interest :]
i've done a lot of dialogue-script writing for that game i mentioned in my previous posts [the one with pulsar!] and working on other characters, but the majority of it is... functional, not pretty. i think i've figured out a good organization system for my notes, but i still have no clue where to really begin with getting everything into a game prototype.
also trying for college again! i got accepted and scheduled for this fall, but i can't decide on a field so it's all non-specific classes for now. i'm leaning hard towards CS (even though i currently know nothing about coding), but i've also been thinking about hardware design/engineering. there should be dual-screen laptops! i don't care how weird the mechanism for it would be!
final note: i'm still SO SHOCKED at how many notes my meta knight animation got, real "omg a hit tweet" moment. i forget to check around here since my primary social media usage is "doomscroll youtube for 20 years," with the bi-yearly "oh yeah i have a blog." maybe i make my notifications my on-start browser window, lol.

tbh i think the guy in the top left looks too much like a ufo with a tractor beam, tho i also like it foundationally. i've been doing a lot of dialogue / cutscene writing, which is a lot harder to show off than visual art. i might turn some of it into mini-comic things- a few main characters still need their rough designs finished though.

don't have long because i'm gonna go see iron lung soon, but i literally had a cosplay idea come to me in a dream so i'm rocking and rolling with it.
i don't have like... any materials to do this but it was fun to draw out. maybe in the future. excuse the poor colors, i used highlighters out of my travel bag bcs it was in reach when i woke up.
would want the armor pieces to be metallic painted eva foam and the cape would be something like an upcycled blanket or... in a spoiled world, velvet. kinda want the shirt to be detailed like link's champion tunic but more subtle, probably embroidered. whatever i'd do with the shoes would have to be reversible. OK I GO GET READY BYEE

i think my main catch is getting around to learning UV mapping, i keep shelving it for months at a time whenever i start thinking about textures and whatnot. [which really sucks because i have so many ideas for clothes and props, but i can't actually implement them until i figure it out][maybe i should just draw them ;[ ]
