I'm starting a (hit)list
Louis offering to fuck Daniel while Armand is out ("do you want to now? he sometimes lingers when boats come in to harbour") is crazy in retrospect, when he KNOWS that Armand has been psychosexually stalking that old man for 52 years. He knows it would have driven Armand fucking insane even just knowing he considered it
Letâs be beautiful as fuck while I put my ex through a saw trap
âIt was as if he had no real substance. Only will kept him robust and beautiful. And when the flow of his will was interrupted, he melted like a wax doll.â

armand and fareed do medplay with armand as the patient and fareed as the doctor but armand cant get into the roleplay because he keeps breaking character to correct fareed and give him instructions
when armand wants something (love, attention, an apology) from someone (louis, daniel, louis again) so he tortures them until he gets it and then gets distraught when it doesn't feel real
daniel. daniel wake up ,iwtv season four is official .Daniel
we've been given more devils minion than what we need right now, and the only reason for that is that this season also went into qotd.
dm doesnt happen in the first two books. this season is the vampire lestat. its about lestats story, hence the name.
saying that the writers are deliberately leaving out dm is fucking stupid im so sorry. you are genuinely fucking slow. its literally called the vampire lestat if you dont care about lestats story then dont fucking watch it đđđ
I love dm and I LOVE armand specifically so instead of bitching and whining like a pathetic fucking chud on the internet im going to wait patiently for the next season because at the end of the day the story of the devils minion belongs to queen of the damned, not the vampire lestat.
you guys seriously need to get a fucking grip its so embarrassing. go read the books while you wait maybe you'll grow some brain cells

in the days since the finale leak, all i keep wondering is how a piece of media like iwtv of all things seems to have attracted a large majority fanbase consisting of people who are desperate to view every part of the show (down to the actual actors and writers, which is grim beyond words) through a victim/abuser mindset. it kills me that weâre in this tenderqueer era of faux-counter-culture media consumption where the most easily offended people on the planet are willing to watch a show with graphic violence, incest, and abuse, but only if they can easily parse whoâs right and whoâs wrong in every scene and relationship, as if thatâs even close to the point of it all. and to then have the audacity to not just object to that, but also to be up in arms over cruel shit the characters are saying to each other? in the fictional universe they all exist in as terrible, awful people? the game is so, so gone. if you would like to watch something that doesnât challenge your black-and-white moral framework in even the slightest way, can i suggest daytime TV? iâve also heard that childrenâs books tend to clearly lay out their moral lesson in the final few pages lest you get confused and think the author condones the big bad wolf eating grandma, which may provide a clarity some of you are in such desperate need of
audibly said "oh, baby" while watching the episode. im sick to my stomach
I need more pro tvl moots because all Iâm seeing is tvl slander and itâs fucking exhausting.
"armand isn't owed an apology after all the shit he did to louis, i can't believe they made him do that"
hey guys? Do we maybe think that Armand's tit-for-tat mentality, and the way he's been tallying up his and everyone else's sins against each other is a problem? Is it maybe possible that Louis managing to find empathy for Armand in the face of the monstrosity being done to him, and that radical act of kindness and honesty (about the ways he unintentionally hurt Armand) moving Armand so much that it nearly breaks him, is idk a major theme of this whole season?
you know, sorta like how Lestat was holding onto his feelings of betrayal about the book, and all it did to serve him was make him absolutely miserable and lonely and push him into the arms of someone actively harming him. And how it was only after he let that go, and helped Louis even though he still thought that Louis didn't give a shit about him, that they were able to connect again and be happier than we've ever seen them.
Or like how Louis was able to look past his initial feelings of revulsion and betrayal about the Sophia lie, and offered comfort and a space to speak honestly, and how that granted him a deeper understanding of Lestat, and ultimately strengthened their bond.
Are we seeing the pattern here? How they're breaking the curse of loneliness when they stop seeing each other as monsters, and extend a bit of empathy, even when it's hard or not deserved? How addressing the gaping wound behind the actions might open the door to healing for both parties?
the virtue signaling happening in this fandom rn is driving me fucking crazy

I may be in the minority here, but I honestly think IWTV and TVL were adapted really well.
When I first read Interview with the Vampire, I remember thinking, wow, this is depressing, heartfelt, and deeply sentimental. Then I read The Vampire Lestat and thought, wow, this is vain, performative, and absolutely dripping with yearning without ever actually saying âI yearn.â
I think the show ended exactly where it was supposed to. It leaves us asking questions and feeling like there are pieces missing from the narrative, just like the books do. Thatâs part of the point.
The characters are all vicious, lonely, traumatized, and completely fucked up. Theyâre people, but they also arenât anymore. The ideas of âgoodâ and âbadâ donât really apply to them because theyâve lost their humanity. Theyâre dead.
The only thing I wish weâd gotten more of is Daniel and Armand, but theyâre barely in The Vampire Lestat anyway. Their story really belongs to Queen of the Damned, so I canât exactly be mad about that.
If youâre bashing a show you once claimed to love because of its nuance and layers, maybe what you actually loved was the aesthetic of New Orleans and Paris, not the story it was telling.
