DP is back with another batch of cold, calculated raps on this two-for-one called “Imperial/Motives.” The first half is “Imperial” and it was produced by Sir Yogaflame, and the second half, “Motives,” was done by Caleb Stone. Both fit in well with DP’s releases so far, and they act as more evidence that when DP decides to drop a project (it’s coming soon), it’s going to be one of the hardest of the year. With Kendrick revealing that his album will arrive in a few short weeks, some of TDE's head honchos have unveiled both the artwork and title for the highly-anticipated third album. After announcing a few days ago that his sophomore album will arrive March 23rd, many wondered what the album would in fact be titled. Tonight, Kendrick too to Instagram to formally announce the project's name: To Pimp A Butterfly.

Shortly before his upcoming FADER Fort appearance at next week's SXSW, Maco sat down with their television division to talk about his hardcore past, whatever "meninism" is, why he doesn't like his breakout single, and why he doesn't care for its Korean counterpart...

At 18 years old he prefers to spend his time in studios writing and pursing his dreams. Inspired by an eclectic range of artist from Kid Cudi, Kanye West, N*E*R*D to Indie artist such as iLoveManoken and the awful records, the NJ artist structured his own unique sound from personal endeavors and uses his ambition as the driving force for his records. With "Orange" out now (via soundcloud) and performing live throughout the tri-sate expect to hear more noise from the 18 year old.

In this powerful, but short new documentary, director Punit Dhesi delves into Fashawn's past, including his upbringing in Fresno, California. Throughout the 16-minute documentary, Fashawn interviews his Mother - who has battled drug addiction, who tells him why she chose to bless him with the name Fashawn, her struggle with drugs and her past. The documentary also captures how a young Fashawn and his endless bars captivated people around him, including his manager Aren, his cousin, Evidence and more. Overall, the documentary explores how Fash overcame economic hardships, navigates the streets and pushed through the struggles to get where he's at now, ultimately wrapped up in his new album, The Ecology.

After spending the latter part of the year teasing it, Raekwon took to the 'Gram to formally announce the release of his anticipate new album, F.I.L.A.: April 28th. Along with "The Purple Tape Files" documentary, things are looking pretty promising this year for the Chef.
