ɪʀɪᴅᴇsᴄᴇɴᴛ.

{ - my apologies if this response is late, but first of all, i actually didn’t make this theme! it was kindly created for me by a fellow roleplayer! so if you want to know how this one in particular was made, i’ll have to recommend that you go ask them! with that aside, it took me a long time to figure out how to do container themes, and i eventually found out how to make them through tutorials and help from friends! 

This tutorial is helpful when it comes to the coding! that’s the biggest part of creating the actual theme to make it look “box-ish” like on most container themes!

And when it comes to the actual backgrounds that you see on container themes-- I have yet to find an actual tutorial to follow on how to do them but if you google “graphic making tutorials” you might find something helpful because that’s basically what the backgrounds are! 

Even with September finally making its arrival, weather had yet to start dropping in temperature and Rin had long ago gotten tired of the smothering heat. Sick, she was, of sweating and of hair sticking to her face like glue from humidity! And this weekend showed no signs of pity for her. Original plans to go shopping had been immediately scrapped in favor of paying a visit to the local ice cream shop the second she stepped foot out of her apartment.

And it seemed she hadn’t been the only one with the idea to enjoy a frozen treat on this warm afternoon. A face deemed all too familiar to her had been almost immediately spotted at the table nearby and it wasn’t long before she took it upon herself to slide into the empty seat in front of the male with an extra ice cream cone held out in offer.

“Would not recommend. Take it from a three-time world champion, with consecutive wins at that.” Now, certainly not the time nor the place from him to make such lighthearted remarks. But all things considered, comments felt necessary all the same.

“--Ah! The great Houdini himself has decided to return from his amazing disappearance act!” Mock surprise is quickly traded in for a sly smile. Despite wanting to flood him with question after question, truth be told he doesn’t owe her any explanation of sorts and she’d rather not waste her breath over something she assumes he’ll talk about if he’s ever ready or willing.

Shopping had never been considered a hobby she had as much as it was considered a necessity. If she wanted food, she needed to shop for groceries, to live comfortably, furniture needed to be purchased as did products for her hair. And clothes to wear which was the sole reason she deemed it time to pay a visit to the mall. Her closet was starting to resemble an antique shop more so than the closet of a young woman intended to be an idol and role model among others. To be fashion-forward was a must. 

Too bad she didn’t seem to have much sense when it came to what looked good together and what resembled a complete mess. 

Nose wrinkles in distaste at most of the outfits hanging from mannequins posed in front of store windows and all hope was about to be lost until attention was caught by a certain twin-tailed girl in the near distance. Sense of personal space and manners long gone, the blonde wasted no time in approaching the other in order to reach forward and gently tug at the sleeve of the girl’s top.

“This is cute. It looks good on you.” Finally, a step backwards is taken to provide the other a moment to react to the sudden approach. 

Meteorologists had warned early this morning on every news channel she flipped through of the storm to come, and yet the blonde had decided to take her chances anyways and go out into town. And, as fate normally would have it, luck hadn’t been on her side in the slightest. Truth be told, to at least have enough common sense to bring an umbrella along with her would have been wise, but she had been stubborn since creation and ultimately opted against the aid of one when the chance to grab it from her closet had approached. A choice she would soon come to regret.

The first few drops of rain that hit her face came without warning and only teased her with what more was to come. It wasn’t long before dark clouds rolled in and the only source of light that could be found was from the brief flashes of lightening that followed after each growl of thunder.

Apartment was quite a ways away and with no other options, she ran for cover into the cafe closest on her right and quickly scanned the area for an empty table. It wasn’t long before someone she recognized was spotted at the booth near the window.

“Gumi?” A shiver as eyes lock on the empty seat across from the familiar face. “Do you mind if I sit here with you?” Before an answer can be given, the blonde slides into the seat slowly- almost cautiously in case the other is waiting on someone to meet her here. If that’s the case, a different table for herself can easily be found, however not many were brave enough to venture out of their homes today.

Patience is said to be a virtue, though her own is wearing increasingly thin with every minute that ticks by. Her original idea to go shopping for new winter clothes in the town over in preparation of the season soon to change becomes less and less appealing the longer it takes for transportation to show up. How long has she been perched on this hard, wooden bench? A quick glance at her wrist watch confirms a little over an hour and her groan of annoyance is impossible at this point to hold in. 

Foot taps impatiently, arms crossing over her chest and pose slumping as she continues to wait for the bus all the while praying it’s loud screeching of breaks will be within earshot soon. Though it is instead footsteps that catches the blonde’s attention, gaze turning to lock on a stranger as he occupies the empty spot beside her.

Gently, she jabs her elbow against his arm to catch his seemingly fleeting attention, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” 

A lighthearted laugh to follow her warning.

He haunts her everywhere, in even the most unexpected areas and furthest corners of her mind. Her first instinct is always to run in the opposite direction and yet, she never does. Always an unwilling soft spot for Len modules, it seems. Their presence alone brings back bittersweet memories and sour tastes on her lips, though no ounce of disdain is revealed in expression when gaze meets and is held with his own. Instead, a smile is offered as she remains bent over the field of flowers spread before her-- back hunched as a single daffodil is plucked ruthlessly from its previous home in the dirt.

A single petal is gently yanked- her first velvety victim to represent ‘I’ll leave him alone’. 

And another for ‘I’ll say hello’. 

But before remaining petals can be removed, he takes a step closer in her direction and the decision to be the first to speak up is quickly settled on. 

“Good morning.” She says simply just before dropping the contents of the plant back onto the ground where it belongs so that she can stand straight and brush away the dirt clinging to her sundress.
