Zoe Benson â AHS: Apocalypse Episode 4
clark roschell.
Clark sucked in a sharp breath, his own inquietude towards their home life not something easily submerged beneath the flippant carapace he had built up over years of trauma. It was a nettlesome prick of nostalgia, an irksome impression that he could never seem to cleanse himself of; near producing blood as he bit down on his inner cheek. âI donât want you to lie for me,â a near pained laugh escaped him as if trying to gather all the more pitiful emotions that spilled from him. An inherent sense of toxicity built up from smothering them over the years; Camilla being one of the rare people to see them remorsefully spill over. âI left â a kid with shit about this world. I failed her. And Iâm pretty sure I fuckinâ failed you, too.â Clark always held firm to the sentiment that such blossomed traits that stemmed from Camilla hardly came from their lineage or from how he had raised them all. His sisters were all a rare spec of a light in a sullenly terrorized world they were brought up in; his jaw clenched as the perfect inscription for all he could not vocalize in such moment. It was a pricked sense of rage that sparked within at the nod to Remi, a salient trait that scorned any disparage felt before, âI did everything wrong,â a snap in return, stemmed only from his own wrath towards such predicament Camilla was thus placed in. âAll this bullshit of how I did everything I could for you guys,â hand ran through flaxen hair, shaking his head all the same, âClearly I canât keep any of you alive to save my fucking sanity. ââ Fucking fuck.â He could pace now, hands atop his head; the ever growing ire a force he could not entirely ignore. âFuck.â
As the words of clear self-hatred fell from her elder brothers lips, the younger of the two allowed the tears to fall from her face. Her un-beating heart continued to break in her chest as Clark blamed everything on himself, putting so much pressure on his shoulders as he used to do back home. âI shouldnât have come,â she finally stated, blocking out the rest of his spew, probably able to summarize it anyways. âIf I didnât come here, if I just asked for help elsewhere, you wouldnât feel this way.â Blaming someone was the only thing she could do in this situation, and with her loving nature she couldnât bring herself to blame Remi for the horrid life she had forced her into. Instead, here was a newborn vampire who just wanted to rip her own brothers head off his shoulders in order to get to his blood, blaming herself for her struggles. âYou didnât fail me,â she finally shouted, the tears streaming at a steady pace, despite her hatred of allowing herself to cry in front of Clark, wanting to be her strongest self in front of her brother who raised her to be a strong woman, someone that didnât need to rely on other people to save her. âYou raised me amazingly, you are the reason I am still here, Clark. Dead or not, I am still here and ---- and Iâm going to figure all of this out, I promise. I ---- Iâm trying, Iâm trying my best,â stutters echoed around them before the vampire reached towards her brother, gasping for air as she attempted to calm herself down. âPlease donât hate me ----- Clark, please.â

clark roschell.
The melancholy in her voice was enough to drain him of any hope, such grief filling his lungs at the very mention of their youngest sister who was gone too soon. It was too late for pep talks and what if scenarios. Any attempts to remind her to stick through the hellish mess that was their family would be futile now, such regret staining the entirety of Camiâs expression. And if the mention of Beth wasnât enough to make his heart seize in his chest, it was the further mention to that of a Carmikael. Particularly Remi. Still, he would have loved to play dumb. At least a little longer. The very mention of the vampireâs name clearly pointing to a very sour outcome. To the thought that his little sister was very much one in the same; that of those who craved blood and had a heart that could no longer beat. âThey blamed me?â An empty chuckle left his lips, such pangs of horrid nostalgia grasping at his heart, âI blamed myself for Bethâs death every fuckinâ day.â He shrugged as if it was a pointless fact now, knowing such hardship on himself would do nothing to dull the memory of his sisters tragic end. The werewolf bite poisoning her until it led to such horrific hallucinations and pain. And eventually, her inevitable death. âYou could have stayed. â-â He mumbled, the thought of his sister and Remi knowing each other seemingly well enough to make his stomach lurch. âMy ego hardly needs protecting if Iâm not there to hear whatâs said.â Of course, Clark knew that was hardly the case, having grown up in that household for eighteen horrid fucking years until he could no longer take it. He knew what it was like to want to escape with every fiber of your being, so could he blame her? âI really wish I could wake up from whatever fucked up dream this is,â he pointed at Cami, as if the situation around them was just some concocted delusion that his inner fears had manifested into.Â
Despite Natalie telling Cammy that it wasnât her fault, as she stood across from her elder brother ; the male that raised her like his own child, she could almost feel the reality rushing through her veins that he would have known. He would have been able to see the warning signs and could have prevented any of this happening to his younger sister, but she was too focused on having the comfort of someone that she didnât see the red flags. It stung as she heard him begin to talk, tear forming quickly in the vampires eyes and moving down her cheeks, leaving a small trail of black behind them as the mascara was taken with each one that moved down to her chin. âIt wasnât your fault,â she choked out, shaking her head quickly. Maybe it was just her love for the male, her ability to look past all his mistakes and focus on the fact that he was the one that put away his childhood to raise all his siblings that caused her to consistently take his side. âYou didnât do anything wrong, you did the best you could with what you had, Clark. You raised us amazingly and it was not your fault for what happened to Beth ; and it is not a bad thing that you left when you did. You deserved a life of your own without us holding you back,â she stuttered over each word that fell from her lips. Pressing her lips together, she shook her head quickly as more tears fell down her cheeks, hands clenching tightly at her sides. Nails dug into her palms enough that blood began to form at the small indents that soon healed themselves, her head shaking from side to side. âYou donât think I donât want to wake up from this dream?â Snapping wasnât the best option, but the vampire could barely feel her control staying in tact the longer she stood there. âI donât just know her, Clark. She ----,â there was a pause before she took a deep breath, saying it was only going to make it more real. âShe killed me, Clark. She ----- killed me, and I canât stop thinking about how -------- glorious it would feel to rip your fucking head off your shoulders right now. I donât ---- I donât know how to control this.âÂ

CLARK ROSCHELL.
For a moment, Cammy seemed to be entranced, caught up within the thoughts that surely raced through her mind. It seemed to be a Roschell trait at this fucking point. To practically obsess over the shit you fixated on until it developed some habit or some fucked up coping mechanism. For their dad it seemed to be the cigarettes that did him in and at this point it seemed Clark might as well be on the same path. Hell, everyone had something that killed them. But here the hunter was, still trying to scrape up what was left of his family and protect them from shit he knew they couldnât escape. It was why he almost winced as she began again, that certain cloud in her voice that proved it was not good news. Clark could make as many inappropriately timed jokes and snippy remarks as he could to try and avoid such moment. But the one thing in particular that these two siblings could pride themselves on was communication with each other. She never quite resented him for his choices like the others had. And he would always appreciate that. âCanât discredit her and say she learned it from me, but itâs definitely a Roschell trait,â he murmured teasingly, despite his annoyance at the recent memory. Still, his brows crinkled at the sight of his younger sister, clearly in some sort of emotional agony; clearly holding something back. It made him hesitate to sit, almost taking a step back in such apprehension. The two never held back on much, secrets between the siblings not ever typically routine. And so he was surely off guard. Which, for a stubborn jack ass like Clark, that was not something he could stomach easily. He slid warily into the chair, brows still raised at Cammy, ââWhatâs going on?âÂ
Telling Clark was the one thing that Cammy hated the thought of doing, breaking it to the man that literally raised her and taught her the ways of the world in such a raw way to make sure she wouldnât make the same mistakes he ever did; to tell him that she basically fell for a vampire that snapped her neck without even thinking of the consequences and left her in the woods for her own survival. To tell him that her hands were covered in multiple peoples blood and her mind was filled with the amount of screams and pleads for her to stop before skin was torn off their bodies and limbs were broken off to make the process faster. Draining innocents, leaving them in piles all the way to Red Creek without a care in the world about her own verdict of being a murderous monster until her hunger was satisfied. The thoughts of the blood pulsing through her brothers body was enough to put her on edge, only wishing that Bea was by her side to hold her back, just enough so she didnât rip her brothers head off neck and lather herself in his blood to feed the hunger that was making her dead heart pulse in her ribcage. âSomething happened,â she finally said in the silence, moving her eyes from the main artery in his neck to his eyes, keeping her distance and even taking another step back for more space. âAfter Beth ----- the rest of the family was so ----- rude, constantly bringing up your name and dragging it through the mud just because they needed someone to blame and I couldnât ----- hear it anymore,â she said as her hands clenched and unclenched at her sides, teeth biting at her cheek to keep her focus on the self-inflicted pain rather than the rushing of blood. âI ---- found someone. I found someone and something happened,â she whispered, eyes slowly raising to look at her brother; full of disappointment and sadness on her own behalf. âHer name was Remi Carmikael, Clark.â
