CVT to DVM

So, I work in a practice owned and managed by a family member, while running the office for 2 weeks as just me and one relief doctor, I took a peek behind the curtains... the business is failing, funds are being misappropriated by the family member who owns the practice, and my time sheets have been manipulated. I'm not intending on pursuing anything criminal charge related, however, I am forming an exit plan, and took a personal day today with my partner to plan the move. My housing is the on call suite in this practice, for all 25 years of my life I have been my boss's scapegoat. Today when I called off, my partner listened for the first time to how my boss speaks to me when my boss thinks there are no witnesses, and last night I laid out the full picture of financial and psychological abuse of the entirety of my 25 years of life. The IRS has been having auditors visit every 3 months, in person, and the owners behavior has gotten extremely erratic in the last 18 months. My partner and I have agreed to start moving me out, a duffle bag and trunk load at a time... sneaking out and away until Boss doesnt even realize I'm not living in the on call suite at all anymore.

So, I took the personal day, and got 27 texts in a false panic from my boss everything was a crisis supposedly. With maximum drama and passive aggression. Ladies, why is my mother acting like my abusive ex???

please stop telling people to go to the library as a third space. it's a place for quiet study and work, when people ask for third spaces they mean places to be social.

Almost every library I've been in also has private study rooms (single occupancy) as well as reservable group rooms for group projects, additionally, your local greasy diner can be a place to hang out for an hour or two for about $5 ($2 free refill coffee and a $3 waffle)

EVERY SINGLE ad break for The Beauty FX started with an advertisement for botox and was followed shortly by one of those ubiquitous advertisements for GLP-1s. my father and i were in hysterics. poob is forcing you to watch advertisements for the torment nexus in between segments of their new live action adaptation of classic sci fi comic Do Not Create the Torment Nexus. literally on my television a shot of someone who had just taken a fictional miracle drug to become beautiful screaming and writhing on the floor with their organs and teeth and blood spilling out, cutting directly to a real life advertisement for a drug that makes you beautiful. don’t worry body is per fect place for beautiful miracle drug. miracle drug has no problems ever in body. what the fuck is a metaphor. oh god i can’t breathe

I ask because it’s been on my mind that my personal self defense item as a 5’1” woman is pepper spray and yet I know huge dudes (over 6’ min 200lb ex military men) who CC for self defense

Right now men make up 71% of CC permits in the USA, it’s more so the fact that men are arming themselves with concealed guns while women carry keys for self defense and we can’t change the gun laws overnight. It’s easy to say that but I don’t think insults really serve a purpose in this specific conversation.

I'm a very firm believer in concealed carry. I'm licensed through my county, insured through USCCA, and a member at my local range, I spend about 4 hours a month on the range and additional time studying tactics on and off range.

Most of the unfamiliar dogs I meet/see are incredibly untrained and hyper social, so it's going to be a no from me... and I own a dog and work in Vet Med. Overstimulated, nervy dogs just... No, sorry, I do not trust strange dogs with Me or my own dog, we're keeping it moving.
