So my brother-in-law is a Buyer for a retail outlet and he just sent me this picture. He knew it would mean something to me. He purchased these tshirts to be sold at 40 stores. I thanked him and he said, haha it’s just a small gesture. Well, maybe it is, and maybe it isn’t (hey, seeing this t-shirt could remind a parent that it’s time to make amends with their LGBTQ+ child, you never know). The fact is, we all can do something to bring awareness to the LGBTQ+ community and as a COLLECTIVE WHOLE WE CAN CREATE CHANGE. All of it matters, so just because you’re not speaking on capital hill doesn’t mean your voice isn’t felt. It all adds up. All of it is important. These type of gestures create change. These gestures catch attention and make people think differently. Let’s celebrate the things you do to create change. What have you done today to make someone’s life better? Maybe you could smile at someone you would normally ignore. Have no doubt, we are all in this together. Be kind, encourage kindness and show kindness. It’s the natural way of life and anything else is madeup, anything else weighs heavy on the heart. Let go of struggle to create separation for that, for sure, is an illusion.
