Wira is the co-founder of the Five Pillar Foundation, he’s very passionate about developing rural areas of Bali, promoting responsible tourism, promoting sustainable agriculture and preserving the Balinese culture and tradition. We have a lot in common! Wira invited us to meet him at the site of one of their projects, the future Sun Sang Eco Village. Already a few of the bamboo units are up. The units are ecologically designed to work with nature, creating very comfortable and inspiring places to relax. The plan is for 40-50 total units, and the village will include community and co-working spaces, a restaurant, edible gardens, and plenty of opportunities to convene with nature.
