New Orleans be damned, his family needed him here. All in New Orleans was going well until Dahlia’s impromptu visit, waltzing in like a hurricane destroying everything in it’s path. She carried death with her as if the two were old friends, once lively flowers in full bloom blackening and dying upon her entry. Elijah’s dealt with a great deal of witches before, but none as powerful and unwavering as her. After ensuring his own entry into McKinley went unnoticed by the wicked witch, Elijah made his way to McKinley to protect those he loved. Phone pressed to his ear, he exhales a deep breath as once more, Niklaus’ phone goes to voicemail. “Niklaus, however old you may be I know modern technology isn’t lost on you. And in case it is, there’s a little green button on your screen that you tap and voila. Give me a ring when you get this.” And with that, Elijah ended the voicemail.

This wasn’t how this was supposed to go. Then again Freya didn’t know what it felt like when things did go according to plan. Even the idea sent her aback cause of how futile it felt to dream. She had met Niklaus under damning circumstances as it was, she had yet to meet any of her other siblings truly, but had been anticipating it all the same. Only for Finn it would be a true reunion, for Elijah, all she had ever known of him was the heartbeat in her mother’s stomach. The little baby she’d been so excited for, to hold in her arms, to be the big sister of, and now here he stood all grown up. That little baby she wanted to hold was now taller then her, and he was leaving a voicemail to Niklaus. Somehow Freya doubted their little brother would be keen to receive it. “You may want to try Caroline Forbes.” Freya suggested. “Or Stefan Salvatore. They’re more likely to answer, and Klaus is most likely with one or the other.”

     hayley seemed to have walked into a situation she was completely unaware of. she didn’t know who this woman was, but she did know of dahlia. and if this witch was an enemy of dahlia then perhaps she could be useful. hayley had baby hope on her hip, not having the heart to leave her. the hybrid herself had been taken for weeks, a sliver of empathy for the other poking out. ‘ don’t know who you are or what the hell is going on, but i sure as hell know that bitch could use a strong dose of reality, ’ she speaks as she makes her presence known. ‘ hayely, ’ she speaks pointing to herself, ‘ you are ? ’ @cursedfirst​

“Then what is her mindset?” Chronos asked impatiently.  It was hard enough trying to figure out his own brother’s motivations much less another strangers “Sorry. You mention this Dahlia and I’m still perplexed by her motivations.” The god admitted. His looks softened, maybe he should try the compassionate approach. “Then let me help you.” Chronos insisted. “So you can be prepared whatever her plan is.” @cursedfirst​

“Her mindset.” Freya repeated the words, a note of disgruntle at the thought of humanizing the monster who had taken her captive since she was a little girl. “All Dahlia wants- all she EVER wants is power. She wants to use us--- every first born in the Mikaelson family, as batteries to fuel her creating the most powerful coven in the world. She wants immortality without paying the price, she wants a family without giving any love, she wants all of us to be hers.” A pause, Freya falling out of breath. “But we’re not hers.” Emotion swelled in her. “We’re not.”

“Don’t you understand? Dahlia does NOTHING without reason.” Freya exclaimed, she was exhausted. Burnt out beyond belief, but still not planning to stop anytime soon. Not until she found the answers that she sought. “She had me for weeks that I lack in memory. Yet my magic remains, my curse remains, everything remains as is and that can’t be right. Something is wrong here, I just don’t know what.” A pause, shaky breath. “Not yet.” 

“Yeah, safe to say the original timeline is fucked.” Whether that was a good thing, or a bad thing - only time would tell. “But yes, he’s here.” Damon didn’t necessarily avoid him, he had nothing to share with the hybrid. His focus was more on finding his kids and his brother. It would be nice to see Stefan one final time. 

“The fact that our kids are here without us makes me think that’s a good thing.” If their original timeline ended with their kids alone going to the past it wasn’t a good ending at all. “Not to mention--- the whole not being trapped in Mystic Falls isn’t so bad.” Freya noted. “No offense.” She nodded her head in acceptance. “I’ll need to find him.” Elijah too, given Klaus didn’t go much anywhere he didn’t follow. 

     to be truthful nik thought he was losing his ever loving mind. seeing her face, his mother’s face. not the freya in this time, but the face he hadn’t seen since he was seventeen. being on the other side of the barrier meant when the parents were put to sleep, nik couldn’t see her sleeping form. the distance had always been excruciating, seeing her but never being able to be close to her all his life. envious of all of the people in mystic falls that got to have her when he couldn’t. ‘ mom ? ’ his voice was weaker than intended, barely above a whisper. he felt small, like a child again. frozen in place, unsure if this was some fever dream or trick by some evil lurking in the shadows. ‘ what’s, what’s going on ? ’ he shook his head in disbelief, to shake away the image if she was nothing more than a mirage. still she remained.

the face was familiar but it was the voice that caught his attention — as if her calling out his name had unlocked a core memory. there was a name that lingered on the tip of his tongue but the woman before him appeared much older ( a ghost of his past perhaps ? a relative to someone he already or once knew ? ) but if his time here in mckinley had taught him anything, it was to keep an open mind. his reality as he knew it was such a frail thing. suspicion still present in his gaze, jackson chose to engage in conversation. “ have we met before ? ”

Xiomara took pride in being good with names and faces, after all her entire career had required such detail from her and she hadn’t failed them. So it made sense that skill transferred over to her civilian life. “Right – shall we start with what is first? Which is how do you know my name?” She asked the blonde in front of her, though she looked familiar she was not able to connect the dots. Perhaps the result being blown up just one time too many or something. Maybe she would still be able to bring that up to her doc whenever she got around to seeing them.

Xiomara Gomez. Freya couldn’t help but remember her fondly. Before being lost in the chaos of New Orleans and entering the world of the Mikaelsons there had been Xo, who taught her to drive and helped her learn of this century. It wasn’t an easy feat and Freya had always been grateful for her patience. Life became too complicated to keep contact, and she had always hoped the woman had a happy ending but she’d never known. In another life, perhaps there would have been more, but that wasn’t this life. She admired the hunter’s suspicion, it was refreshing. “Because I’m your friend, or at least I liked to think we were friends. I’m from the future, a version of the future that is, but it is me. Freya.” 

Carson looked over with a soft hm when his name was spoken into the air between them. In terms of people he had here, in this time, he had his pack and Aiden. Now back in time, with Aiden and Carson’s daughter, the wolf was looking for Aiden for that one final goodbye. “Freya, hey.” Of course, he recognized the Mikaelson witch - given they came back in time with a handful of others. 

Being among wolves had been a challenge. The reminder of Hayley was difficult, and then there was Aiden who only reminded her of Jackson and that was a wound better left covered and hidden. All the same, wolves were apart of Hope and Niklaus too-- Freya couldn’t ignore them because of painful memories. It was why she was grateful to Carson in her life. A friend among the pain. “Have you discovered anything new of this time?” She asked, not one to beat around the bush. 

“I know just as much as you do.” Damon responds with a small smile, “Well actually – that’s not entirely true. I saw Klaus walking around earlier. If you’re looking for him.” It was no secret Damon wasn’t the biggest fan of the Mikaelson’s, he made exceptions for Rebekah and Freya.

Freya had only met Stefan the once. Damon, however, she had grown to know in her time living in Mystic Falls. For all his past misdeeds he grew into a man repentant, it made Freya long for her own little brother who could have done the same thing. “Klaus is here?” That couldn’t be right, back in 2012 he was in New Orleans still. Which meant things were already changing. “So the timeline’s already been changed.” Which meant that, wherever they were, was a new timeline completely going in a new direction. 

Seeing the older version of Freya here had Phoenix hoping he’d be able to see his moms. He missed them everyday, wished they could be here to watch Ella grow up, knock some sense into Fallon and just… be there, alive, happy and healthy. A brow lifted when the eldest Mikaelson faced him, “That’s me.” He answers, head tilting to the side a bit. “How are you here?” 

For the longest time Freya had lived by a simple rule of thumb, do NOT trust anyone with the last name de Martel. She and Aurora were never quite able to become friends but they did move beyond enemies, and Freya got along with Valerie when they had the time to speak of witch craft, which eventually became often given their entrapment. It was their children who made Freya truly recite her old rule of thumb. “You’re all grown...” She couldn’t help but think of her own children, worry for them. “Chronos.” Freya answered. “And it’s a limited time offer so we have just that.” Limited time. 

Joel saw a blonde say his name. “Um, you’re talking to me,” He didn’t know why but she reminded him of someone he had met before. Very familiar. “Um.. I’m sorry. You just look like someone I know. Her name is Freya,” Maybe he had really overdone it at the bar.

Hope’s boy. Freya was pretty sure she called his name correctly, though his hesitation was fair considering she was supposed to be DEAD. She hadn’t paid too much attention to him, he made Hope happy and that had been all Freya needed. “No, you’re correct. And I don’t have too much time here Joel, I am your Freya and I need to details of what I’ve missed.”

“Rosalie.” The mermaid said. “Damon and Elena’s daughter.” Rosalie brushed her hair back. She looked at her and smiled. “How can I help you?” Rosalie asked with a kind smile.

“I know who you are Rosalie.” Though that obviously could not be said the same in reverse of the girl. Freya was never particularly close to the Salvatores but she lived in Mystic Falls, unable to truly leave, you got to know people that way. “Do you know who I am?” Freya was almost certain she knew the answer by the girl’s lack of reaction to someone who she be dead.

“- so I don’t know how much time I have here,” Chronos did say a day but everyone had different versions of such thing and Freya wouldn’t waste time with pleasnetries. “--- but there are things that need to get done.” Like potentially saving her little brothers lives by warning them of the shitshow that was to come in New Orleans, saving her KIDS from a god, seeing them. “So tell me-- “ She turned and her heart skipped a beat, digging into her chest when her eyes landed on a familiar face. “[Insert Name here].”
