You step out of the ruins to the sound of raised voices.Β

βIt was an order!β Noya throws his hands up pleadingly.Β
βSo you let the Princess, who hasnβt stepped out of the palace in a decade, enter crumbling ruins thatΒ havenβt been maintained for centuries alone andΒ in the night?β Kiyoko looks furious. Noya cowers.
Itβs a scene so terribly nostalgic that you canβt help but smile. Noya trembles as Kiyoko bites out another admonishment -Β are those tears you see in the corner of his eyes?
βHey,β you say with forced cheer, skipping carefully down the steps.Β βSo you were following us, Kiyoko-β
Kiyoko pivots, cloak billowing like a full sail as she draws her sword in a smooth action that your eyes barely follow. It slices through the air so quickly it whistles - it trails moonlight in its wake. The moon gleams off the length of her blade, inches from your bare neck.Β
βStep away from her,β she says lowly, eyes narrowed and form graceful. The tip of her longsword, angled at the Sun Godβs throat, does not wobble.
