Planetary Empowerment: Super Sailor Mars gained strength by calling upon the planet Mars when she needed to perform this attack.
Fire Bow Construction: Super Sailor Mars had the ability to construct a bow and arrow from fire. Sometimes she could create multiple arrows simultaneously.
Fire Generation: When enemies were hit with Mars’ arrow, they would sometimes be surrounded by flames.
Union Attack: Mars Flame Sniper could be merged with other attacks to make it stronger.
In the manga, Super Sailor Mars used the Mars Arrow to perform this attack. The Mars Arrow didn’t exist in the anime, but a bow and arrow did materialize out of fire to assist her.
The bow and arrow that Super Sailor Mars uses and the ones that appeared at the beginning of the attack are symbols of the Greek god Ares or the Roman god Mars.
When Mars used this attack in episode 171, the fired arrow had a cross-shaped point while the attack sequence shows it as flat-shaped.
In the Cloverway English dub, this attack was sometimes called “Mars Flame Shooter”.
It is implied that Sailor Mars is left-handed as she draws her bow in the attack with her left hand.
