My little ghostie Alfie, illustration series, was so fun to do this past October. I’m officially done with him, but I would be very happy to come back to Alfie next year for October. He wore many hats this season, let’s see what he comes up with next year ☺️

Hi loves, to cope with the anxiety and burn-out I’ve felt lately, I decided to create a comic about my life. Every other comic page will be featured on my Patreon starting with tier 1 for only $1. (Link in bio) It’s been a catastrophic year and half for my husband and I since he lost his ability to swallow solid or soft food. We’ve moved 2x, put our daughter through 4 different schools, re-homed our 2 pups, lost 70% of our household income, saw 13 different doctors, and traveled 7 hours to another state only to be turned away after an hour. Things have been even harder lately with prices continuing to increase and my commission work decreased. When our income dropped down to 30% I tried taking on as many jobs as I could. I currently work an average of 70 hours a week including the time spent on my design studio. In the mean time we have not gotten any closer to a diagnosis for him, disability assistance has denied us 3x. He can’t possibly work when he can barely talk most day and has zero energy to get him through the day. He drinks liquids only and has since lost 100lbs. If he loses anymore weight it’ll be critical at this point. 🌼 I promise not all the of the comic pages will feature a heavy topic. Some will show pockets of peace and laughter. There have been moments in the past and now where we’ve forgotten the mess and laughed so hard we cried. I know this is a heavy triggering subject for some, so please don’t feel obligated to follow along if you are my friend and care for me. I understand, even I can’t take in heavy topics without breaking down in the midst of so much frustration and sadness.
