Now he was just looking up at him, a small frown on Ardyn’s lips as he gently crossed his arms over his chest. He wasn’t as annoyed as he look – in fact, he was thoroughly entertained by this – Ardyn needed to bite down an amused smirk from his lips.

“If you’d like, Gilgamesh,” Purposefully using the man’s full name, he said it in almost a sing-song-way. “I could always start spouting out random, incoherent thoughts and ramblings – if it’ll so please you~.”

He would have kept rambling on – that was his intention after all – but with the flick on his forehead given to him by Gilgamesh easily caught him off guard and off focus.

“….No, I’m not?” He let out a low grumble, annoyed, Ardyn letting out an almost annoyed huff from his lips. “I’m not mindlessly sprouting out thoughts just to pass the time, Gil, there’s noting wrong with sprouting out possibilities and the like.”

“What?”

“I’m merely stating a viable opinion in return to someone else who stated a – what I believe to be – a lackluster, invalid, perhaps inhumanely boring and wrong statement of myself. Surely –when have I ever not been an ass…Truly, people think I was born from the womb like this and instead, say, conditioned to become this by circumstances far beyond my control and far too ungodly unpleasant?”

What did he want to learn? Well, that was a hard question to ask him, seeing that Osiris was willing to learn just about everything from his mentor. The brunet hummed softly to himself,

                               “ Ahh…Umm…c-could we try out that move set you did yesterday on the training dummy? It looked really cool but really hard to learn and I wanna try learning it. ”

                                                 “ Yes sir! ”

Osiris chirped, whipping around to follow after his mentor with a grin on his face. Maybe today they could learn that really cool move he saw Gilgamesh do yesterday or something. 

                     “ S-So um Gilgamesh sir, what am I going to be learning today? ”

                        “ Oh no it’s fine! I came a little early today to get training done, my grandmother needs me for something later anyway so I wanted to come a little early. ”

The little Shield in training squeaked, stepping inside and giving his master a small bow.

    “Grandpa?”

❝ Mundane? I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone use that word. ❞ Hearing that word made Cor curious to know why the unknown male was using it. ❝ A small town from here. My friends are suppose to be there since I got lost from them. ❞ He still was curious to know how this person could help him find his way.

┘ℑ┌  Just as he had assumed Gilgamesh confirmed it, Ardyn was out gallivanting with those troublesome brats ’again’. One of these days that man’s ’helpful’ nature was going to end badly for them all, but there was nothing Ifrit could say that Ardyn would actually listen to even if the man was his servant as of now. A light huff left the Astral’s lips causing a small burst of flame to let itself be known about his body, for the most part, these flames were invisible unless he willed them to be shown. ❛Explains why thou creates such an intense plight of ’bordem’ as your kind say.❜ Ifrit was much too old to be using these new ‘slang’ terms, they clashed horribly with his usual speaking mannerisms.

┘ℑ┌  Golden hues closed upon the words being spoken, even going so far as to tilt his head back ever so slightly to allow for a low bearing sigh. While the ‘children’ were out of their league with their mission, Ifrit knew it was a bad idea to underestimate them it could and would lead to their downfall. Yet, it seemed Ardyn was too busy 'messing’ with the boys to even consider this fact, could the same be said for Gilgamesh too? ❛We shall wait and see.❜ Who knows, perhaps this so-called 'King Of Light’ could put an end to his torment known as living, but then again, is being controlled by the Starscourage really considered living? The Infernian’s gaze fell back upon the man before him with a new found intensity, he did have to wonder… ❛Thou art without thy King?❜ It was rare to see either one alone, so for it to be witnessed now Ardyn must be up to something.

┘ℑ┌  ❛A fruitless effort as the inevitable cannot be prevented, yet, I suppose it does thy children little solidus in hope of somehow coming out the victors in this little ‘war’ they struggled to stay on top of.❜ While it was likely due to a manner of amusement that Ardyn kept these boys around, and messed with their minds every chance that seemed to arouse the fallen Astral still wondered. Through unlikely, there was every bit of chance that these four pebbles splayed across the ground could become thorns in their side in due time. 

Perhaps … Even worse than that when the time for action came, all that little princeling had to do is become one with the forsaken crystal then that would spell their doom. No doubt that meddlesome dragon would get in their way as well without any form of hesitation, while Ifrit knew he could take the annoyance by himself he was not so sure about being tag teamed.

This is what happened when two bastard-blooded demigods were within range of another: Gilgamesh, of Bahamut, made his blood boil and he’d like nothing more than to leave instead of indulging such a necessary evil. But without a Shield, Noctis acknowledged the vulnerability and he didn’t have time to sort chaff from wheat. This was a time to grin and bear it, it seemed. “A Shield,” Noctis answered curtly, his heritage seeming to resist so strongly it were as though he could tear the tension to shreds with tooth and claw. How did he plaintively explain himself? Claws gouged at his insides heatedly, a boil of impatience and flaring tempers curdling sickly. Maybe this was a stupid idea. Maybe he should just go without; not as if being a Mafia King was orthodox enough. “That’s your father’s title for me, not mine. Like hell I’d wear it proudly; only wanted to get your attention.”
