It had taken awhile to figure out who this Raeger person was, but he figured it out eventually. Now he could return the favor for the birthday gift. On Christmas no less, so it was a two for one deal. The only problem was that he didnât know what this guy liked. For that reason he went to the roast in order to find out, when Raeger was and wasnât on the clock. After all they had never seen him in real life, so to Raeger this Jamie person was only known by name.
The guy liked something to cook with, exotic things. As a result all Jamie could think of was seaweed to give the guy, along with sea urchins. That would be good enough right. With the bag in hand he went to the apartment in which Raeger lived in. By a stroke of luck he saw the chief heading towards their dwelling.
Jamie piked up the pace, âRaeger!â It felt odd calling his name, as Jamie did not know the other at all. Other than the fact that they gave him something. Making his way in front of them he held out a bag towards them. âJust wanted to say thanks for the birthday gift, and merry Christmas.â
âI really loved the chocolate you gave me that day.â
Raeger was just about to turn his keys and enter his apartment when he heard his name being called. As he turned around to see who it was, he was baffled to see a purple-haired stranger running towards him with a bag in hand.Â
As he was given the present along with a small thanks, Raeger could only peer down at his gift with wide eyes, completely speechless. "For me? Wow, you really didn't have to..." It wasn't often that he received something like this, much less from another guy. And he had to admit, it was a little touching that his small gesture even meant that much. Small things really made a big difference-- or something like along those lines.Â
"Merry Christmas to you, too. I'm happy to hear you liked it," he offered a polite smile. "Uh, Jamie, was it? If you thought that chocolate was good, then you should really try out my other stuff. I'm been trying to experiment with my baking lately, but it does involve a lot of chocolate."Â
Itâs beginning to look a latte like Christmas

People wonder how Neil could hate the holidays so much. Well, spending money when practically living from paycheck to paycheck was the norm wasnât exactly ideal. It didnât really matter if it was just a few pieces of chocolate or a whole damn tin of cookies, money was money. Anyway, Neil bought cookies and placed them in bags for his coworkers. He left each of them where he knew his coworkers would see them. On each he left a note that read:
Happy Holidays. Donât expect me to be nice all of a sudden.
-Neil
On Raegerâs in particular he wrote:
You did that on purpose, didnât you? Donât give this to me again.
-Neil
Raeger stared at the note left at the counter where he usually washed the dishes. His eyes glossed over the message before looking incredibly perplexed.
Did what on purpose?
Neil could be a little confusing at times, but this was certainly new. At least the cookies were pretty yummy, though Raeger was a little disappointed that they were just store-bought.
Iron Chef | Main Course
Raeger had been waiting for this event to arrive all month. He didn't actually care much for the competition itself, he was more interested in trying everyone's dishes instead. The idea of tasting the best of what the others had to offer was more than ideal, and hopefully, heâd even be able to meet other people with the same passion as his as well.
For his own dish, he prepared salmon with some sauteed kale, topping it with a dab of yoghurt. Along with that, he added mushrooms, green onion, horseradish, and some spicy brown mustard to enrichen the flavour. Once it was done, it took a strong will to not dig in by himself right there. It was perfect.
Raeger looked forward to sharing it with everyone.

An Important Dilemma | Raeger & Georgia
belle-of-thebrawl:
With the sort of company she kept, it wasnât surprising for people to come and go from her apartment. It seemed like she (or Chels) was always getting a visitor, whether she wanted one or not. Hanging out with friends was nice and all, but when one was as tired as she was. Constantly? Then it got a bit⊠exhausting. Annoying, even. She still loved her friends, though, no question about that. She just didnât love seeing their faces when she felt like actual death.
And the weekends were especially important to her, since they were the few chances she got for some relaxation throughout her otherwise busy week. Her mood was a lot lighter on these days, so when she hears a knock at the door, she bounds up to it with a noticeable and energized skip in her step.
âHowdy⊠oh!â Georgia doesnât really know who to expect when she opens the door, but she certainly doesnât expect it to be the nice guy from The Roast. She didnât mind it at all, but why he was here still escaped her. âRaeger, hi! Itâs totally fine, donât worry. How can IâŠâ She trails off when he makes the reason for his visit clear, and she suddenly recalls the last conversation she had with him.Â
Right. The cooking lessons. How could she forget about something so important!?
âO-oh, um, yeah! Yeah, Iâd love to!â She steps to the side to give him some walking room, gesturing for him to come in. âPlease, come in! I, uh, havenât gotten around to my weekend cleaning yet, so sorry for any mess.â
When he's met with a confused Georgia, Raeger felt a twinge of guilt. Maybe he should've said something beforehand, but once she realizes his intentions, she seems eager to invite him in. "That's a relief! I didn't know when it'd be a good time to come." He laughed as he rubbed his neck sheepishly.Â
At her apology, he shook his head dismissively. "Don't worry about it. I came here without warning after all." He then stepped into her apartment, trying not to let his eyes linger around for too long. Once he found the kitchen (which doesn't take long because his apartment was structured the same way), he turned back to Georgia.Â
"Well, let's get started right away, I won't take too much of your time either. To begin, why don't you tell me what you can handle? I was thinking we could start with an omelette, but we can definitely try something harder if that's too simple." Though she was the one who told him that her cooking was horrible in the first place, he felt bad to assume the worst. He stopped in front of the fridge, unsure whether he had permission to look. "Um, may I?"

Raeger sighed with relief. At last, his gruelling baking session was over and his large batch of pastries was finally complete. He was sure that the smell was going to linger for some time, but the end result was completely worth it. Now, the cook only hoped that his neighbours would enjoy them, as he wasnât certain about every individual's tastes.
Putting four treats into each paper bag, he left them at every door with the same letter.Â
Happy Holidays! -Raeger
@meekrival
Raeger stopped by Jamie's apartment to leave him an admittedly last minute gift: a chocolate bar which he took from his gift basket won at the Holiday Party. Although he and the other man hardly knew each other (he only found out about his birthday from being in the same apartment), he decided that it wouldn't hurt to leave a polite gesture. He briefly knocked on the door before setting the chocolate on the ground, a tiny note by its side.Â
Happy Birthday -Raeger
An Important Dilemma | Raeger & Georgia
@belle-of-thebrawl
After a few encounters, Raeger became acquainted enough with Georgia to learn about her lack of skill in cooking. Of course, upon seeing her strong desire to learn despite her incompetence, Raeger immediately volunteered to help out. So naturally once the weekend came along, Raeger stopped by her apartment.Â
He knocked on her door, idly waiting for an answer. Once it clicked open, Raeger looked up and recognized the owner, a smile instantly appearing on his features. "Hey, Georgia! I hope I'm not intruding or anything."Â
"I was wondering if you'd like to start your cooking lessons today."Â
Barista Brawl | Raeger & Neil
@coldandchili
Raeger arrived at work a little late this morning. Although he was a diligent worker, he still messed up his sleep schedule every now and then. He was only human, after all. However, he still managed to make it in time to change into his uniform, so once he was ready, he immediately headed to the counter to begin brewing.
"Good morning, Neil," he greeted his co-worker as usual, hoping he wouldn't be scolded for his lateness. As a few more customers arrived, Raeger took charge of the cashier and greeted them all with a natural smile.Â
After a few minutes of taking orders, Raeger received an order for a cappuccino, which usually required a simple latte art to go along with it. Usually, Neil would take care of this, but without thinking, Raeger skillfully prepared it instead. While the customer happily walked off with the order, Raeger looked back at the blonde with a guilty look. "Ah-- sorry, I know that was your job. I hope you don't mind."Â

(BTTP) First Impressions | Raeger & Chelsea
@wildfireisms
Raeger entered the cafe forty minutes before his shift started, his usual routine. He wasn't much of a morning person, so he used this extra time to adjust himself. After getting dressed and making sure the all of the equipment was working, he headed to the back again to find an unfamiliar brunette standing there.
"Good morning." Raeger smiled and made a small wave. At first, he wasn't sure why there was a stranger in the staff room today, but it took a second for his mind to click. "Oh, right! The manager told me we were getting a new co-worker, so I assume that's you. I'm Raeger." He offered his hand to shake. "It's nice to meet you."
After introductions were over, Raeger nervously scratched at his neck. "So, do you need any help?" He tried to offer in a casual manner. She might have been new, but he didn't want to assume she was helpless right off the bat.
Getting Roasted at The Roast || Elise & Raeger
@culinaryarte
The cold winter chill made Eliseâs cheeks tinge with red. Not only that, she had the cold and of course, her natural irritability of  hers only seemed to increase. With such horrible weather, it was incredible that she was even expected to come into work today. But with that bitter thought, her thoughts turned to her father, and how heâd be ashamed of her if he knew them â so she decided to push away the thought and decided if she could enjoy her regular at the Roast, the morning wouldnât be half bad.
Except the line was unbearably long. She grit her teeth, hissing under her breath in frustration. âExcuse me? Iâve been waiting to put in my order for nearly twenty minutes, I think itâs time to hurry it up,â she said, eyeing the barista with a disdainful glare.
This morning was off to a bad start. Raeger woke up with a massive headache and today happened to be the start of the week, so the cafe was packed with customers who all wanted their coffee before work. Raeger was busy trying to get all their orders done, but at the rate he was going, the massive line wasn't going away anytime soon.Â
And now he had to deal with this.Â
"I'm truly sorry, but I'm doing the best I can to finish these orders first," he said while hastily preparing another cup. The strain in his voice was obvious, but he couldn't bother with keeping up appearances right now. "Please bear with it for a few more minutes."
