 . . .     clearly has no other choice but to   simply drop    the full cup of   BLISTERING HOT COFFEE    on the floor in order to catch the other into his awaiting arms.    

a soft hiss rattles from within his throat at the gesture,  lips immediately peeling back from his teeth into the beginnings of a snarl.   however,  it is slow to gradually reduce once he realizes who was responsible.    or rather,    WHO WOULD EVEN DARE        to attempt it in the first place right before his eyes.  dark claws bracing against his own pecks as if trying to protect them from another potential attack.   eyelids smoothly dropping down over his eyes, creating narrowed points to the corners.
