maybe this is the TEENSIEST bit takaaki related, but i know you’ve mentioned an idea for a captives killing game. do you have a general death order or like events that would happen within it? (particularly hiroko or takemichi related)
OK OK SO here’s what happens in my AU in which the captives are put into a killing game. Be warned for a major info dump
The captives are brought to a lake house, each of them know the reason WHY they’re there (examples: Aloysius is told the Togami’s have a new property that he needs to clean before they move in, Ayaka is told it’s a B&B for her next performance, stuff like that), however the captives have no clue how they got there. They remember getting an email about the stay, packing for it, but the in between is all a blur.
The captives are welcomed by Monohost, their keeper for the stay and Monokuma’s “mother”. They’re basically having a glorified stay in Monokuma’s “family home”.
On their first night, they all mingle and use the facilities of the house, lazing in the living room and eating a meal prepared by Aloysius. While watching something on TV, an emergency broadcast appears on screen, announcing the beginning of the tragedy. This is also where they discover they have no contact to the outside world. As they freak out, Monokuma introduces the killing game to them. Takaaki is the one who retaliates against this, coming at Monokuma with a fire-poker. Monokuma responds to this by breaking his wrist, and leaving the group to sort themselves out.
The next day everyone except Takaaki comes out into the living room and has a morning meeting. For the first chapter, they’re limited to the bottom floor. Aloysius keeps some peace by continuing to cook for everyone. After their breakfast, they’re given the first motive, which mirrors the first motive of THH. This results in the murder of Kanon Nakajima, killed by Ayaka Hanemaya.
This part isn’t super important, but the unique courtroom mechanics are Recess, which targets overly active members in the trial by forcefully pulling their podiums off the ground, and Courtroom Demonstration, which lets them walk around and act out scenes of what they think happened.
In the second round, the outside patio is opened up to the gang, giving them access to a pool, covered lounge area, fire pit, a woodworking shed, and a flower garden. This round also begins the beginning of a Takaaki/Hiroko alliance, as Hiroko is the first to discover that Takaaki will only come out at night. For the second motive, the captives are shown footage of the new world particularly detailing that the positions and jobs they once held in life are effectively useless, rendering obsolete as people. While some find a new purpose in serving in protecting the other captives (Aloysius, Takaaki, Hiroko, Kenshiro) or branch out to find new meaning as they didn’t technically have a job to begin with (Yuta, Takemichi), Fujiko feels completely broken, feeling as though her art no longer has a reason to exist. This results in her murdering Yuta in the pool.
Third chapter strikes and so the second floor is now opened to our lovely house guests. The second floor holds Monohost’s room (master suite, locked), a media room, billiard room, private bar, and a terrace. This time the knowledge of a traitor is introduced, heightening everyone’s suspicion. Alter Ego is also introduced in this chapter, still taking on the form of Chihiro, but its coding modified to become more sinister. Alter Ego finds its way to Taichi, who slowly begins to mistake it to be the heavenly voice of his late son, and listens to it when it tells him he must commit a double murder to escape and see his family again. Taichi’s victims are Kenshiro and Aloysius.
With the third floor now open, our houseguests are shocked to find it contains only a disheveled medical examination room. Takaaki seems especially bothered by it, vomiting at the sight and running away to his room. After rounds of unsuccessful negotiations for him to open the door, the employ the strength of Takemichi to kick down his door and force Takaaki to tell them what’s going on. It’s revealed that Takaaki recognizes the room as he used to be a government sleeper agent program, the same program that created “Kiyondo”. It’s slowly pieced together from here that Takaaki’s “sleeper” side was being awaken at night when everyone was asleep and coming up the attic section relay his findings to the mastermind, who Takaaki says is among them but he can’t remember anything from when his sleeper agent side fronts. With the knowledge that Takaaki is now incredibly dangerous, they tie him up and isolate him. The isolation slowly drives Takaaki insane, which makes him plan a murder of his own was he realizes the mastermind won’t come to his rescue.
At this point, the player (Komaru obv) is given two choices
1) send Takemichi to kill Takaaki
2) send Hiroko to kill Takaaki
If the player chooses option 1, Takemichi arrives too late and finds that Takaaki has already committed suicide with an unfinished note by his side, leaving the game at a standstill and keeping the captives locked inside forever.
If the player chooses option 2, Hiroko arrives just in time for Takaaki to attack her, crazed by the medication he had taken to kill himself once the job is over. Once Hiroko calms down Takaaki just enough, she can milk more information out of him to use at the trial before she gives him an additional dosage of medication, killing him faster. Hiroko is unaware that Takaaki has already taken pills, effectively making her his murderer. Takaaki’s note is still present in this ending, still unfinished, but this time you can actually read it. It’s a detailed apology made out to everyone, but especially Hiroko and Komaru for the pain he’s caused.
I don’t really know what happens beyond this point so umm I’ll leave that up your imagination!! Thank you for giving me the space to infodump about my dumb little AU hehe :3
