For Lewis’s case, he was not informed in time by his radio that Oscar was on a push lap during quali. He ended up impeding. Oscar abandoned the lap because he had to go wide to avoid crashing. Lewis got a 3-place grid penalty as a result.

As for Kimi, he was penalized because he did not slow down enough when passing the yellow flag (Max had an inchident). The stewards were comparing his previous push lap and the current one. While Kimi did release the throttle when passing Max’s scene, he was still faster in that area compared to his previous push lap. He barely applied the brakes and the reduction of speed was less than 1%.

However, because Kimi still made an attempt and the scene was close by so he had less time to slow down, the stewards reduced the 5-place penalty to a 3.

Because the race result is final. Charles won’t be serving any penalties and he keeps his P2 points.

Oscar’s car was already pretty difficult before the collision and still is. The floor damage didn’t help but I doubt he would’ve gotten P3. P4 would’ve been nice points-wise.

I’m not sure if he was already pretty tall among the kids his age in his early karting days.

What if Oscar never had that floor damage? Would he have gotten P3?

What if George didn’t get DNF? Would he still have scored a podium despite the abysmal car performance in the straights?
