I always see posts saying "cheaters are so horrible, if you're unhappy, leave the relationship, don't just cheat" But what happens when you do leave the relationship? You don't cheat, you aren't even interested in anyone else. You're just miserable in the relationship. The person you're with loves you "more than anything" but you just can't stand them. What if I'm crying every night and day and even breaking down at work because I feel trapped? I don't love this person anymore, but I know if I leave, they'll make me feel even more horrible for it. What happens in these situations? When the relationship is just fucking unhealthy? I left of course. It doesn't matter what they did to me to cause me to fall out of love with them. If I am spending night and day just miserable, if they are constantly talking negatively about me to people I have to WORK with every day, if they are telling me I should just TRY having sex with them so it will make them feel better, then that is reason enough to get the fuck out. So you want to know what happens when you are unhappy and you DON'T cheat? When you do the right thing, by being honest and leaving? you get accused of cheating. you are told by the father of your child, who wouldn't even let you go to see your friends without him, that he doesn't believe the child is his. That there is a very significant chance that it's someone else's because "the way you left" just didn't seem right. As if there's any right way to leave someone who doesn't want to be left.
