Foot fetish thing came straight from the books. Though it’s not surprising that larys would be a creep, so yeah maybe his brand of creepiness is a bit too on the… foot, but then again idgaf because at least it’s less harmful than a lot of the other fetishes we see in the series

Myssaria caring about the common folk idk if is from the books but either way adds depth to her character and I like it. She needed a motivation - what else was it going to be? It’s not like she’s actually getting meaningful power from creasing secrets alone

If the “women stop men doing bad things” reference is to Rhaenys and Alicent’s convo then you misunderstood the scene. The point is Alicent doesn’t want to do these bad things but does them anyway in service to the men in her life (even if they themselves haven’t asked for it), instead of using her influence over them to actually try to do better things. Then again, men having terrible violent instincts and women finding themselves in the position of having to temper them or else live through the consequences is actually a very common situation in real life as in fiction and tbh being mad about it isn’t the feminist take you seem to think it is.

I agree with the rest of it though, this writer’s got an unusual take on the show she herself is writing, which is unfortunate

did  rhaenyra  really  want  laenor  dead?  but  daemon  obviously  served  w/  him  and  laenor  saved  his  life  so  he  felt  endebted  to  him  and  plotted  this  instead?

or  did  all  4  of  them  agree  to  it?

or  did  daemon  and  rhae  really  plan  to  kill  laenor  and  qarl  refused  so  they  had  to  improvise?
