Having started this at the end of May (21st, to be specific) took me something like month and a half, taking into account a timeskip induced break.

It has genuinely high highs and equally genuine low lows, a lot of interesting ideas and concepts that end up barely explored quite often and an engaging if often formulaic story. I think it is definitely goes down better if you have nostalgia for it, but as it stands it is okay in my opinion.

One of these low lows is, and I am chasing Oda wifh a shovel over it, abysmal portrayal of women. Both visually and narratively in a story. Sometimes it is almost alright, but so often this cherry pie is so bad I could die. Oda, when I get you...

And as high highs go - I think I do enjoy a sense of curiosity and wander about what else world and story holds, what weird islands or abilities characters will encounter, etc. The scope probably harms the depth in this department, but it is really fascinating.

Ancalagon is an anomaly. Far too large to live in any meaningful way. He was born to die in the War of Wrath and to take as much of the world with him as he could.

He is created from thousands of parts. He is erratic, fragmented. He is constantly in agony.

Dozens, perhaps hundreds died in his development. Elven thralls who were forced to aid in and die for the creation of a weapon meant to destroy their homes and people. Those some of his parts came from. Those who simply got too close.

Bones fracture when his wings expand, acrid blood falls from the sky, staining the rocks of Thangorodrim, long before Eärendil lands a single wound to him

His flesh and bones poison the earth, the sky, the water.

Basics

On my end I will be doing art, but on your end it can be pretty much anything from art to aesthetic collages to podfics to literally whatever.

On my end I will likely ask for something themed around my shiny new One Piece OCs or, alternatively, folks from my original fiction.

Aiming to arrange and fulfil those in July and/or August, depending on interest and my free time.

I am good on both communicating extensively before and during the process OR things being kept under wraps beyond the very basics.

How some people are also convinced that he is going to offscreen Imu or steal his power or do the Madara things is just making the annoyance worse.

First take of the day is that if there is one petty thing I heavily dislike about One Piece visual design (petty thing, mind you, not something entirely reasonable as "can we please give woman, especially young girls, some pants or longer skirts") it would be that DAMNED stupid tongue out thing.

I think Devil Fruits + Haki + Random Local Abilities is a solid power setup. What I am not sure about is "there is a third kind of Haki you just need to be born with as the specialest boy ever". I think I would more okay with it though if it had some sort of caveats or downsides to it, idk.

This being said, while I will happy never hear about Oden again, Yamato is... Not as bad as I was expecting? Like okay, a bit cringe, but otherwise fine and I am definitely putting Yamato in "character a lot of people dislike, but you enjoy" .

Glad that some other characters do react to "I am Oden" stuff with understandable level of wtf.
