File templates for rpgmaker 2k3
Here a collection of the file templates I have. Faceset Faceset is the character… face. It is what appears near text and in the character info menu.
Each of those squares is a different face. It is good to leave the last square as blank because one colour must be selected to be the transparent colour. Tileset Tilesets are the maps.
Here the source of this one and an explanation of what is what. Tilesets have to be tested before being sent so I recommend you getting rpgmaker2k3. Here what a filled tileset looks like:
There are lots of tutorials on what is what do not worry I will trY to find them or make my own but atm this post is only to show the templates I have. Charaset
This one is the best charaset I found (the source site got deleted oh well). Those lighter borders are like, the limit. If a character was standing side to side to another and their sprites filled the border’s space they would clip each other. If not, their sprites would stand side by side without clipping. It is a good thing if you want to make a big NPC that needs the union of lots of other sprites. Here a complete charaset:
Ignore the aligator, each sprite row must be facing the same directions those are facing. Top one is facing upwards, second one is facing right, third one is facing down and the last one is facing left. Middle sprite shall always be a standing sprite. And those are all the files you need. Unless you want some image appearing in a map, for example. Then the file limit is 320x240 pixels big. Also, panoramas have to be 320x240px big. They are like a background for maps, and they can be animations (as in they can scroll). All pictures must be restricted to 256 colours or less. Things such as battle animations will not be needed because there will not be a battling system. Yey end of files post.
