Stratt was a historian. She wasn't just pirating for the sake of entertainment for the astronauts, she was doing a full historical backup of the planet. Who knows how much knowledge and communications ability, how much art and culture and history, how much niche knowledge of how to make specific pieces of modern technology or modern medicines, was lost as the wars for resources isolated everyone, as the death tolls led to the deaths of specialized trade workers and scientists, as the power grids failing across the planet (or cut off, potentially) led to all the cloud servers going dark. Stratt was facing methods of combating extinction and she did her best to ensure that if/when the Hail Mary worked, it would send back not just the hope of the future in the solution to the astrophage, but the restoration of history and culture and knowledge.

I rewatched the series and I decided I would be soooooo fucking mad if I were Green. They played a genuinely perfect imposter game WHILE carrying the entire team alone because they were paired with the most useless possible imposter partner, who got exactly one kill (OF the guy Green was successfully deflecting sus on) which was witnessed by, to quote, God and everyone, making Green partnerless for no net gain.

In fact I only started sussing Green mid-series BECAUSE they were playing such a perfect imposter game, such that it would be the most interesting narrative choice for it to be them. Without metagaming this, IN context, Green should never have lost the vote against Purple. Green had Purple dead-to-rights and Purple had nothing, and it was only because the consistently-destructive ex-situationship dumpster-fire disaster dynamic (affectionate) between Purple and Red aligned in single-braincell energy just long enough to accuse Green for no TRUE fumble of their own.

I'm writing a rise fanfiction in which I needed Warren and Hypno to help the turtles and one of my first ideas for them becoming not evil is that they straight up didn't know the turtles were teenagers and when they find out they're like "well, obviously we can't fight kids, that's objectively bad" so they just stop being evil, or at the very least stop fighting the boys. I ended up going with a diff idea but I still really loved this concept so now it's a lil comic.

Also, forgive the weird cropping on the third panel, I could not for the life of me figure out how to draw their legs so I just hid them lol. I straight up didn't even try to draw Raph's after failing Leo's and Mikey's.

All of their crops are out of season. Their windmill that supplies electricity breaks every time it rains. Every waking hour of their life is toiling in the garden or tending to livestock. They live in a single bedroom sod house with pennies to their name and have to walk to the river to collect water.

They've almost starved to death multiple times. Pa has been electrocuted fixing the windmill several times. The livestock runs away constantly because it can't get groomed in time. The farm dog is sick constantly. They constantly rock uncomfortable moodlets because they're sore from their farm toil.

The problem is only one of their sons can be the heir apparent here and I need to devise some sort of scheme or game to rid myself of the useless spares or perhaps keep them on as mere ranch hands that are banished to an outbuilding away from the main house, which is now very crowded. But if I keep them they count towards the household total, which is less than ideal for when I want the winning heir to marry.
